Hi Shania, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
Running a business is no joke. Some days, I feel unstoppable, and other days, I wonder if I should just throw in the towel. Whenever I feel like giving up, I sit with myself and think about why I started in the first place. Is this just a tough moment, or is it really time to let go? I look at everything I’ve built so far, even the small wins, and ask myself if the passion is still there. If it is, I push through, because I know the hard days are part of the process. But if it’s draining me in a way that doesn’t feel right, I remind myself that letting go doesn’t mean I failed—it just means I’m making room for what’s next. No matter what, I trust my journey.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Opulent Glow Beauty is more than just a business—it’s my passion and my way of helping people feel confident and radiant in their own skin. What sets my brand apart is the personal touch I put into everything, from handcrafting my body butters to designing products that celebrate individuality and self-care. Getting here wasn’t easy. I’ve faced moments of doubt, financial struggles, and the challenge of balancing work, life, and entrepreneurship. But each obstacle has taught me resilience, creativity, and the importance of staying true to my vision. I’m most proud of creating a brand that reflects who I am while uplifting others. Opulent Glow Beauty is a space where quality, culture, and care come together, and I want the world to know that every product comes from a place of love and dedication.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to visit, I’d want to give them the perfect mix of fun, relaxation, and a taste of what makes this area special. We’d start in Atlanta, grabbing brunch at Atlanta Breakfast Club or Toast on Lenox—because what’s better than good food and vibes to kick off a trip? Then, we’d explore the BeltLine, stopping at Ponce City Market for shopping and enjoying the views. A visit to the High Museum of Art or the Trap Music Museum would add a little culture and creativity to the itinerary. For a nature escape, we’d head down to McDonough and spend a day hiking or kayaking at Panola Mountain State Park. Evenings would be all about great food and good energy—dinner at The Optimist or a laid-back spot like Slutty Vegan, followed by live music or an outdoor event in the city. My goal would be to show them the best of both worlds: the hustle and charm of Atlanta and the peace and beauty of McDonough.

I want to dedicate my shoutout to the people who’ve supported me from the very beginning—my family, friends, and loyal customers. Your encouragement, honest feedback, and belief in my vision for Opulent Glow Beauty have been my biggest motivators. I especially want to recognize the women in my life who’ve inspired me with their strength and resilience, showing me what it means to hustle with purpose and heart.
