We had the good fortune of connecting with Tonya Morgan-moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tonya, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
The most important lesson my business/career has taught me is the critical value of building strong, authentic relationships with clients and/or colleagues. Trust and open communication are the foundation for long-term success; it’s not just about the product or service I am providing, but the genuine connections I build with people. I’ve learned that this isn’t just a business for me, but it is ministry.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from others is my unique blend of creative skills, a strong passion for continuous learning, and the ability to effectively communicate my ideas to diverse audiences. I get these visions in my head of what I want to create, no matter what it is and I don’t rest until it is done. I am most proud of my ability to figure out complex projects and make it work for my good. I am excited about getting back to my happy place and creating again. I stopped for a while to concentrate on my career, family, etc. I have finally came to a place where I am ready to get back into it.

I’ve gotten to where I am by just putting myself out there and not giving up. No matter the task, I am not afraid to take risks to achieve what I set my mind to do. It has not been an easy road. I’ve had many tears and stressful days. Felt I was failing and wanted to give up, but I remember that I was given this gift and where much is given, much is required. Lessons I’ve learned along the way is that, everyone is not for you. Everyone will not support you. You have to be okay with that and accept it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to Botanical Gardens, especially this time of year, to see the holiday lights. I would take them to Atlantic Station and downtown to the SkyView and just hang out. Some restaurants I would definitely have to take them to is Copelands, which is one of my favorites. I live Ray’s on the River and Cherokee Chophouse. There are so many places I could think of, but for the sake of time I will give you those, lol. I don’t club or drink, but I love to have fun. We would go bowling or visit the High Museum.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to recognize everyone throughout my life that has left an impression on my life, rather good or bad. I thank God for everyone. Those who pushed me forward and encouraged me. I’ve taken bits and pieces from everyone that I’ve encountered and I’ve used it to build my life. I give honor and glory to God who has kept me, made me, molded me and equipped me with what I’ve needed to be successful.
