We had the good fortune of connecting with Troi Hughes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Troi, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
Remaining Authentic and Transparent throughout my Journey . I want to show the entire process, the ups and downs so people who are grinding like me can know the real. We live in a world we’re we only see the highlights which discourages a lot of people from chasing their dreams . I want to show it all, and show it’s possible .

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a man of many hats that loves to learn and experience new things . During the downtown of my Acting Gigs I do a lot of handy man work to pay my bills lol I Powerwash , Sell Seamoss , Clothing Brand Owner and a Locksmith. I also do a lot of community work back home to help kids with my non-profit organization “Pursue Eden Youth Foundation” where we teach kids skills and trades and also feed and clothes the less fortunate. And last but not least I am now an official delegate for the 9th District for City Hall and I help bring ideas of how to better the quality of our neighborhoods.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First we would go to a L.A fitness to start our mornings then afterwards to Smoothing King to get something healthy then once we get dressed we’ll head to Teranga City for Happy Hour or Ponce Market . Then head to Lenox or another mall to get an outfit then head to Revel to party . On a chill day I would go to Stone Mountain or a Park to relax .

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First I would like to S/o my Family especially my Mom, Grandma and Dad for supporting me and helping me raise my daughter. Being a single father while pursuing your dreams gets very hard . Also like to S/o Ashley Williams and Marvin Benieme for believing in me and sacrificing their time and resources to put me in better positions . Those two pple truly changed my life for the better . And last but not least my friends and people who support me thru it all from my events , to parties to my accomplishments your support keeps me going .
