We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristin White and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kristin, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Identifying my values, identifying how I want to show up, and identifying what exactly I want from my business. I’ve learned to filter everything I do and all the advice I take through those.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Kristin White Coaching is an online strength and nutrition coaching business. It started as an in-person personal training business and after seven years, I shifted fully into the online space.

My signature offer, AchieveStrong@Home, is an online membership to live and on-demand at home strength training workouts. This is the offer I’m most proud of. It has grown and evolved over the years and now has such a great community of members who are all incredibly supportive of one another.

I think something that sets me apart is that I don’t push the “work out to get tiny” narrative. I do talk about leanness, but it’s within the context of gaining muscle for the myriad health benefits that more muscle tissue provides.

Also, I tend to attract the folks who don’t necessarily *love* working out. It’s not currently a big part of their identity. I ease them into consistently showing up for themselves via workouts and better eating habits that fit within their current lifestyle and therefore promote more sustainable change!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The Stockyards!! Would definitely give them a taste of “the west” in the Stockyards, walk through Billy Bob’s, watch the cattle drive, visit some of the breweries, shops, and souvenir stores. Get dinner and then go to a Friday night rodeo in Cowtown Coliseum!

One of the mornings, we’d wake up and go for iced coffee at Press Cafe in Clearfork, rent bikes and ride along the Trinity Trails, then walk through The Shops at Clearfork.

I’d take them to Central Market to pick up food for a picnic and take them to Trinity Park where we could hang out for a couple hours eating and reading and walking along the Trinity River.

One night, we’d go to a sports bar in the West 7th district for dinner and then finish the evening at a speakeasy.

One day, I’d take them to the Cultural District where we could visit a couple of the museums. I’d also take them to The Fort Worth Botanic Gardens to walk around, particularly the Japanese Gardens.

For breakfast one morning, I’d bring them Dusty Biscuit Beignets on South Main St and then we could go to the farmers market near there!

If we had time, I might bring them to a Texas Rangers baseball game in Arlington or take the train to Dallas to explore for a bit!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
John Berardi’s book Change Maker was the first time I really worked on identifying my purpose, my values, and my unique abilities, which gave me such insight into what direction I wanted to go with my business.

That was just a start. Since then, Dr. Shanté Cofield AKA The Movement Maestro, has without a doubt had the biggest impact on me. Her outlook on life as well as her approach to running a business have profoundly impacted me!
