Meet Yilin Li | artist&illustrator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Yilin Li and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi yilin, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Because it’s so much fun to work like that. I love creative work, especially in the field of art, which puts me in a happy state every day. Drawing, painting, crafts are all fun things to do and they are things I am very good at. I always have a lot of wild ideas and these jobs allow me to put my creativity to good use.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I will incorporate a lot of Asian elements into my work, which are very interesting cultures, and I hope to make people in all countries of the world realize how interesting and deep Asian cultures are. I hope that through my works I can bring happiness and touching to others. I hope my works have the power to make more people love art.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
如果我有一個可以放鬆的悠閒假期，我想我會帶我的朋友去各個藝術博物館轉轉。我喜歡美術館的氛圍，那是一個非常安靜、溫馨的地方，去美術館的人會體驗到藝術品帶來的療癒感。現代人忙碌的生活可以在美術館放鬆，那是非常舒適的。

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people I need to thank because there are so many people who encouraged me and supported me on my way to growth and development to make me what I am today. For example, my parents, my professors, and my friends, they are the ones who encouraged me in my most difficult times, so I am very thankful to these people, it is their encouragement and support that has allowed me to get better and better in my artistic development.
