We had the good fortune of connecting with Dreek Vegas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dreek, what’s the most difficult decision you’ve ever had to make?
Saying no to a potential booking has been my most difficult decision. Sometimes I imagine having a clone to help with my workload. I want to work as much as possible but balance is key to my workload. In a perfect world, that would be sweet!

Along the way, I’ve learned valuable lessons. One of the most important lessons is the importance of adaptability. The music industry is constantly evolving, and as a DJ, it’s crucial to stay open-minded and embrace new styles and technologies. I’ve also learned the significance of building strong relationships with clients, event organizers, and fellow DJs. Collaboration and networking have been instrumental in my growth and success.

What I want the world to know about me is that I am not just a DJ, but also a curator of experiences. I strive to create unforgettable moments for my audience and leave a lasting impression. My brand and story are centered around passion, creativity, and a deep love for music. I want to inspire and uplift people through my performances, and ultimately, pay homage to the late Darius Andron Gray.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For starters, Breakfast At Barney’s would be the first stop. Depending on the weather if it’s a nice sunny day a trip to the swap meet/thrift stores such as Rag-o-Rama,2nd Street Ponce. Check for the festivals, pop-up shops, or live shows that may be going on or roam the enormous Piedmont Park. To hype things back up indoors a trip to Your 3rd Spot, Andretti, or indoor skydiving. By then I’m sure food will be the next objective so for dinner a trip to Iron Age Korean BBQ would be the finale.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My parents provide strong support for D.A.G. Productions, keeping me informed about events to boost the brand’s exposure. Their belief in my vision is appreciated, and I strive for excellence in every opportunity they present.
