Meet Seneca “Sir Classic” Mcfarland | Record Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Seneca “Sir Classic” Mcfarland and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Seneca “Sir Classic”, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
One thing about the music industry that outsiders don’t know is that our industry is built on relationships.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Let me start off by saying that I am Sir Classic and I am a DJ, record producer in the music industry and entrepreneur. And I run and operate a record label called Dictator Records that is based out of Atlanta, Georgia. My discography of putting out records date back to the year of 1997, when I first released our rap group’s music on the label selling over 10,000 units in the market place independently. And continued to release several projects after that including my solo efforts as an artist on the record label as well. I would say what sets me apart from others is my ability to stay consistent and passionate about my goals and whatever I set my mind to do. I would say I’m most proud of having a successful company that is still operating as off today. Well to get where I am today, it took a lot of steps Of learning curves and learning on the job, and matter a fact I’m still learning everyday. I would not say it was easy, but I will say it had it’s challenges at times, but I got thru them. Some of the lessons that I have learned along my journey is really staying consistent no matter what you do, consistency shows true dedication and passion in your endeavors and goals that you have set for yourself. For all of your audience and readers I would like for them to get familiar with Sir Classic as an individual and as a brand and all the business endeavors that i am involved and connected with and look for you to continue to show your love and support – Sir Classic
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well for me hands down, I would probably take them to Little 5 Points, its one of my favorite spots in the city and its culturally diverse. If it was a weekend perhaps we would go check out some of the record stores to go record crate digging, like Wax ‘N’ Facts, Criminal Records, Moods Music just to name a few that is located in Little 5 Points and then there’s a couple of pizzas bars, if we decided on getting pizza and also there is the Vortex Bar & Grill which has some great food as well. To be honest there is a lot of stores and places to go in Little 5 Points,
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate a shoutout to Amber Nwanne that deserves some credit and recognition.
