Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a 2021 Emmy Nominated Hair and Sfx Makeup Artist . I am a visual artist as well and Muralist. I graduated from the Paul Mitchell school earning my Master Cosmetology diploma. Since then my artistry has shifted landing me in theater working as the Assistant Makeup Supervisor at the Phantom of the Opera, working in television and film as well. I have run my own business since 2013 to include managing my own shop for several years. I have a new creative space this year that I am extremely proud of..I have managed to keep my kit full of eco friendly products along the way keeping my brand in tact. The Platform Artist at my studio offers full hair and makeup services as well as body art. Life is a gamble and the best bet you’ll ever make is on yourself! I’m grateful for the journey so far.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I have a lot of creative friends in Atlanta as well. Atlanta offers museums, art galleries, and plenty of delicious restaurants for my fellow foodies. I tend to spend a lot of time at the Beltline. I enjoy walking and looking at the many murals. I have the pleasure of knowing several of the artists who created these wonderful murals. Another place that I enjoy that offers an array of eclectic shopping is Ponce City Market. East Atlanta Village has a really cool vibe if cocktails and music is something that you are into. Nothing beats a tubing excursion on the Hooch on a hot summer day!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My Mother. She’s my biggest supporter! I get all my magic from her!
