We had the good fortune of connecting with Supreme Luci and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Supreme, we’d love to hear about a book that’s had an impact on you.
“What Mama Couldn’t Tell Us About Love” by Brenda Lane Richardson & Dr. Brenda Wade. It realigns the definition of self love and break barriers to old ideologies that may have been passed down generationally. Very impactful for my well being and my perspective about how I show empathy and grace to the people around me.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’ve always had a great passion for visual art & creating. I moved to ATL in 2017 with ideal that i would pursue painting. I transitioned to online radio and the rest was history. I was the executive producer for NextUP Online, a media production company. During my journey with NextUP, I realized that I loved film and production. I begun to explore and do some research to verify what lane I’d fit & be most comfortable in. Unfortunately, during my explorations and father my killed and i decided to refocus my creative pursuits to honor his legacy. I directed & produced my first documentary, ‘War In Heaven’. War In Heaven, follows the story of my family bloodline in Liberia, from my late grandfather during his presidency, the civil war, my fathers plight for peace within the country & the direct correlation with my livelihood.

Throughout those experiences, I’ve learned to be true to myself. My biggest goal is to create freely & share experiences with beautiful people. I desire to capture the moments of my loved ones & friends, share our legacy with the world. I think it’s important to capture the essence of our people, to create a new narrative.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m a gigantic foodie. I would explore some of my favorite places to eat in the city, Poor Calvin’s, BeetleCat, Thai 26, Lyla Lila, Mama’s, Grana, Grindhouse, Saint & Council, El Malo. Depending on what the weather looks like, we can plan a picnic at the park or hit the beltline & browse. My best friends love getting dressed and finding new spots for happy hour. Preferably something rooftop or cool lounge with lite bites. End the night with good music and vibes with beautiful people.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My greatest thanks goes to my family and friends. Undying support and continuous encouragement is what thrives my creative spirit. Without them, I would’ve given up on my dreams.
