We had the good fortune of connecting with Natali Garuccio and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Natali, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting my own business stemmed from a blend of passion, creativity, and a desire for autonomy. My journey into the wedding industry ignited a profound love for bridal hair, steering me away from the traditional salon route. Witnessing the potential for innovation, I envisioned crafting personalized, modern styles that broke away from the cookie-cutter mold prevalent in the industry.
A key driving force was the longing to fill a void I perceived, particularly in the realm of beauty services, where quality and customer service often took a backseat. Establishing my own venture allowed me to set uncompromising standards of excellence and infuse each creation with a touch of individuality.
Beyond professional aspirations, entrepreneurship offered the liberating prospect of managing my schedule in alignment with personal priorities. The freedom to strike a balance between family and career, on my own terms, fueled my determination to embark on this fulfilling journey.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
At Stella Fatalé, my journey is a testament to the balance of womanhood, where I’ve embraced the multifaceted roles of entrepreneur, mother, wife, and visionary. It’s within this blend of responsibilities and aspirations that Stella Fatalé was born—a brand dedicated to embodying our best versions, empowering women to embrace their confidence, sensuality, femininity, and boldness.
What sets Stella Fatalé apart is its unwavering commitment to communication, quality, personalization, and celebrating what makes each of us females so strong, beautiful, and badass. It’s about more than just hairstyling; it’s about empowering women to indulge in the luxuries of life, style, and experience. Beyond more than just a singular wedding style, I’ve created an immersive and personal process to ensure that the entire experience itself is the luxury. Stella Fatalé evokes to the soul of the iconic woman, offering a sanctuary where she can revel in her beauty, her confidence, and her individuality.
My journey hasn’t been without its challenges, yet through it all, Stella Fatalé has remained a beacon of resilience and empowerment. Balancing the demands of entrepreneurship with the joys of motherhood has taught me the importance of embracing every facet, finding strength in vulnerability, and owning my unique journey. We need a network and a community in each element of our lives in order to not just manage through but to enjoy this life. Where the balance can have its constraints, I face it as a blessing and a source of connectedness to both my family and the brides I work with. We are human and managing the varied roles as we do is what helps us understand our journey as women. What’s most important through it all, is doing so authentically. Being extra, bold or different is exactly as God intend and we should be proud of that. That authenticity is what connects us to each other and to the path of contributing our own gift to others.
At Stella Fatalé, I invite women to embrace their femininity with confidence, to revel in the beauty of our various versions, and to revel in the luxuries that life has to offer. It’s more than just a brand; it’s a celebration of feminine boldness, a testament to the enduring spirit of strength, grace, and elegance that resides within each of us. Being a woman means we have various personas throughout our lives and even just throughout the day. Putting on our dressed-up version is what evokes our best confidence and radiant beauty.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would have to visit some of the best restaurants around New Jersey, starting with great atmosphere, drinks and appetizers at Butcher’s Block in Long Branch. If she were staying for the week, we would venture down to Atlantic City for Chef Vola’s, intimate classic Italian food in a homey hideaway. The best coffee house in Toms River is spire Coffee, that would be a pitstop on the way to enjoy any of the beaches along the Jersey Shore.
For more for nightlife, we’d head up to North Jersey or Manhattan for the various lounges and modern bars. In this spot, every direction is bound to find an adventure! But either way, at this stage of life my favorite events revolve around great food and even better company! Throw in music or the beach and it’s the perfect trip!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to my family, whose unwavering support and encouragement have been the cornerstone of my endeavors. Their belief in my vision and relentless encouragement propelled me forward, even during the most challenging times.
I credit my husband Joey for his unwavering support and encouragement. His belief in my passion and commitment to our family has empowered me to pursue my dreams while contributing to our collective journey. Without his insight to being an entrepreneur, I never would have had the courage to even step into the realm of business.
My children, especially, have been my driving force. For my girls, who also find joy and beauty in the bridal industry, I aspire to leave a lasting legacy for them to join, should they be inspired to. And for my son, whose pride I seek to earn by demonstrating the value of hard work and dedication.
I also want to extend my gratitude to my industry friends, particularly Juliana Fink (JFinkBeauty) and my mentor Manda Worthington (Mae&Co), whose supportive presence has been a guiding light throughout my journey. Their encouragement and belief in my potential have been instrumental in my growth and perseverance. Especially as I embark to create something extraordinary and unique, they have always understood my mission and been encouraging voices through both difficult and celebratory times of this path.
Moreover, to my fellow mom friends, who understand the intricacies of balancing work and family, your unwavering encouragement and camaraderie have been a source of strength and inspiration.
Lastly, I’m indebted to the brides whose trust in my craft has fueled my passion and inspired me to continually push the boundaries of creativity. Each collaboration has been humbly rewarding and I am honored to continue bringing each dream wedding style and experience to life.
In essence, my story is a testament to the power of community, support, and shared aspirations. It’s through the collective efforts of these individuals, groups, and sources of inspiration that I stand where I am today, ready to embrace the endless possibilities that lie ahead.
