Hi DaVeon, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind building my business is on the foundation of God, Believing in the dream he gave me and executing it to my fullest potential. I have found that a lot of businesses and companies lack peace in there foundation and it’s because of the peace within the teams and for that to happen you all have to agree or share the same mindset of being a leader, motivator and prayer/meditating warrior.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Regarding my art, I prioritize embracing inclusivity as a fundamental principle. I maintain a strict separation between opinions or discussions and my everyday fashion choices, as I find that people often misunderstand my artistic expression. While I identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I aim to convey a nuanced balance between masculinity and femininity in my work as a professional model, particularly gravitating towards androgynous modeling. Through my experiences in the industry, I’ve gleaned the importance of perseverance, understanding that facing rejection is inevitable on the path to securing significant opportunities or sponsorships. I firmly believe in drawing inspiration from within oneself on a daily basis. One guiding scripture that resonates with me is Joshua 1:9, emphasizing the virtues of strength and courage in the face of adversity, reinforced by the assurance of divine presence in all endeavors.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In Atlanta, as a 22-year-old, my typical outing would involve heading straight to a brunch spot or upscale restaurant in the city. However, recently I’ve found myself prioritizing experiences over mere dining. Thus, organizing activities like a candle making class or a sip and paint session has become the ideal outing for me at present. Following this, indulging in a pampering session at a luxurious spa, accompanied by the most exquisite wine, adds to the experience. Lastly, culminating the evening at the most esteemed restaurant in the city, where formal attire is requisite, completes the perfect day out. While it may sound like a date, I firmly believe in treating oneself to one’s dream experiences rather than waiting for someone else to provide them.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to express heartfelt gratitude to my beloved family, friends, and mentors whose unwavering support and guidance have propelled me to where I stand today in my journey. Additionally, I extend special acknowledgment to TheeNewGeneration, Be.Moore.Foundation, and Clark Atlanta University. To these esteemed organizations and institutions, I offer a profound message of appreciation. Despite my occasional doubts and seemingly outlandish ideas, you embraced and championed my creativity, allowing me to share my vision with the world. For this, I am deeply thankful. Your belief in me has not only fostered a sense of belonging but has also contributed to the formation of a future network of mentors, confidants, and spiritual guides for my children. You have bestowed upon me lifelong friendships and, most importantly, fostered a deeper connection with my faith.
