Hi An’Darrio, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?

I am thrilled to discuss the remarkable success of Chasing: Reality, LLC, a journey that has seen our brand become a beacon of inclusivity, education, and entertainment within the LGBTQ+ community. At present, our platform boasts an impressive viewership of over 25 million and a dedicated subscriber base of 90k on YouTube.

The core of our success lies in our unwavering commitment to challenging stereotypes and fostering understanding. Chasing: Reality, LLC has become a powerful force in dismantling misconceptions surrounding the LGBTQ+ community. Through our content, we have not only entertained but also educated and informed our audience about the diverse experiences within this community.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

My professional journey has been a thrilling ride, marked by passion, creativity, and the determination to bring authentic storytelling to the forefront. It all began with my love for video editing, a skill that captured my imagination at a young age. I started by creating a “Cartoon series” on YouTube, honing my editing skills and gradually gaining a taste for content creation.

In 2015, while navigating the challenges of college life, I took a leap of faith and launched my own YouTube channel. This platform became my canvas to discuss life, share experiences, and connect with an audience on a personal level. It was during this time that I discovered my love for being in front of the camera, realizing the power of storytelling to resonate with others.

The turning point in my career came in 2016 when I co-created Chasing: Atlanta, which eventually evolved into Chasing: Reality’s flagship series. This marked the beginning of a new chapter where I transitioned from behind-the-scenes editing to being a visible face in the production. The challenges were substantial, requiring me to take on numerous traditional production roles, from storyboarding to producing and editing.

One of the key lessons I learned was the importance of resourcefulness. Working with what I had and leveraging the skills I acquired at a young age became my mantra. This meant taking on multiple responsibilities to ensure the project’s success. While it presented challenges, it also allowed me to develop a holistic understanding of the production process and a deep appreciation for every aspect of content creation.

The goal was always clear – to create impactful and authentic content that resonated with audiences. This journey has not only been professionally fulfilling but has also taught me the value of perseverance, adaptability, and the incredible power of storytelling to bring about positive change. As I reflect on my path so far, I am grateful for the opportunities, challenges, and the growth that has defined my journey in the realm of content creation and production.
