We had the good fortune of connecting with DeDaProblem and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi DeDaProblem, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I was born an artist. It’s something that’s always been inside of me creating , seeing things different. So when the time came for me to make money for myself the traditional methods just wasn’t a option for me I literally felt like it was This (Music Career) or nothing at all.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
My art is complex it’s me but it isn’t. I use myself as a blueprint then try to step back and see it from a different perspective. I want my art to speak to who it needs to not just to me if that makes sense lol.

My vulnerability I would say sets me apart from most artist I don’t close off to ppl after I feel hurt or disappointed I try to give everyone a clean slate until they show other wise.

I’m most proud of going on my first major tour “Millennium Tour” while having my own independent tour at the same time it was AMAZING.
Plus throwing my own independent concert (DeDaProblem & Friends)
two successful times. Man I’m beyond blessed have to Shout out Scrappy & Chu.

I got to where I am today by faith & hard working always knowing that’ at each level you have to be willing to start over and learn it all again.
I got where I am today professionally, by studying some of the greatest in entertainment today. I learned everyone does some of everything but not everyone it’s a professional in that profession. I pride myself on doing good business and learning my business to be professional.

It definitely wasn’t and isn’t easy because the industry is always evolving it’s always new tools added that you have to learn old tools may come back into play that you have to brush your skills up on it’s a machine that’s forever moving so you have to be on the same speed.

How I deal with the challenges is one of the best lesson I’ve learned while being in this industry and that’s from Chu & Scrappy

Tunnel vision you can’t control everything so don’t waste your time trying remember what for you where you are and continue to do that times ten. Work work work. Consistency , focus on you and the work everything else will fall in place.

I want the world to know my story. I do this to motivate where I come from I already did the impossible. I just wanna give hope to who ever I can.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
