Meet Ashleigh Williams | Owner of The SoMuchPrettier Collection

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashleigh Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashleigh, how do you think about risk?
I literally started my business from the ground up I took my tax money and used it all to get merchandise to start selling clothing for my business without a care in the world if it would be successful or not. Because deep down in my mind I knew that it might not happen right away but someday it would and I had to start from somewhere so why not take that risk especially for something that I have always loved which is fashion. I literally started selling clothes out the truck of my car driving miles and miles each day to deliver customers their items that they would order . I used the money from my profit to advertise my business. My business eventually started to pick up I would take my profit money to pay to do pop up shops to get my business out more . I did all this without even having a job I just jumped out on faith. All from that one risk I decided to take have lead me to a successful online women’s boutique.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My name is Ashleigh Williams and I’m from Atlanta, Ga . The name of my business is The SoMuchPrettier Collection. That name came from my Cheerleading high school coach but she was more than that to me she was my mentor and like a mother away from home . She unfortunately passed away in 2010 due to cardiac arrest. Her name was Samecia Woodward and she was an AKA so when I left to go to college I always knew I wanted to be an AKA but because of circumstances at that time that dream didn’t come through . So Fast forward I have always loved fashion and always thought I was a pretty girl many of the people that grew up with me in the Atlanta public school system always knew me to dress really nice and keep up with the latest fashion so I put all that together md came up with my business name . After having my business for a while I started to think about ways I could stand out more to bring in even more customers so I later launched my own brand name HEAVY On The Pretty. With my brand clothing we offer jogger sets jumpsuit with my brand and logo on it . Some are offered with embroidery or screen printing. Check us out on every social media by the name SoMuchPrettier. My business is successful but it haven’t been easy I literally do everything by myself from managing my business , accounting & financial management for my business, advertising for my business when I say I do it all I literally do it all and it’s not always easy . Being that I’m the only person that handle for my business you can imagine how organized I must be and it’s definitely not easy with still dealing with everyday life for example like being a full time parent . Don’t get me wrong I fall short I have even had to take a break from my business because of those circumstances but I never gave up .
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Of course we would have to spend a day shopping at our famous Lennox square mall I’m also into sports so a basket game at the Phillips arena stadium or our new Mercedes Benz stadium would be another fun day .
I love seafood so we would have to go to my favorite seafood restaurant pappadeaux. Another day of fun would be t our famous amusement park six flags over Georgia since amusement parks is another interest of mine .
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to shout out my mom she have been there from the beginning of it all. My mom helped support me in sooo many ways from being at the pop up hops helping set up & break down , investing her own money in helping me get things I needed financially for my business , watching my kids for me whenever I needed to go handle anything regarding my business, and just mentally being there the times I wanted to give up .
