We had the good fortune of connecting with Rapcrush and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rapcrush, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Taking risks is literally the reason why I was able to accomplish so much in life in general . Throughout my music taking risk used to be scary for me but as I grew and got older it becomes easier because every risk I look back on it always worked out in a positive way. Risks might seem scary but the way the world works if it’s a great cause for it you will always get back what you put in and possibly more .

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from a lot of people is just my orginality. Wherever I go I’m me rather I’m silly, sexy, classy whatever it’s so many layers to me and I love for my fans and people that have been supporting me forever to see each side of me . I really hate labels so i tell people I’m myself and just by me being myself you would never be able to figure out what I might do next . I think that’s what keep people engaged in my music that spark , it’s intriguing. I’m most proud of my evolvement as a artist being such a young girl making music with no sort of direction I definitely grew with music and didn’t get stuck in just one sound one lane . I’m able to accumulate almost every generation because my gift of being able to create so many different lanes/genres of music. The weird part about it is I got to where I’m at from taking risks and trying new things new methods . Somethings might didn’t work out well but some did and really helped me out a lot overall the lesson turned into a blessing and I still won overall. Lessons I learned is to always be yourself and believe in yourself because when you show confidence in you others will see it and respect you . Challenges I had and overcame was just balancing music with my regular life sometimes it gets rough but now I’m at a point where everything is kind of on the same line so it makes it easier to release music, travel and network .

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well first I would take them shopping I love fashion I love buying new things then show them the chicago downtown area I love downtown , take them to the beach get a drink and just chill vibe and hangout . Probably go to a bar or something on the south side of chicago later that night and show them how far it really is to party in chicago . Definitely take them to this soul food restaurant ohhwees also

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My engineer Mixsa which is the person that has been mixing all my music for like ten years he deserves so much credit just by being supportive and also making my music sound great.
