Meet Veronica J Woodard: Independent Television Broadcaster

We had the good fortune of connecting with Veronica J Woodard and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Veronica J, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I had a desire to create family friendly television for all to enjoy at any age. This desire came about when I watched my daughter at the age of 10 perform at the world Famous comedy Store in Los Angeles.  She was young.  I knew she had talent, so I wanted to protect her innocence by creating the channel for her.

What should our readers know about your business?
STGN 49 MEDIA GROUP, inc is an OTT / OTA television broadcasting network. STGN 49 is visible in 22 countries including the United States and Canada and over the air as STGN 27.5 in Beaumont, TX. When we started a few years ago, we were STGN 49. Today, we are STGN 49 MEDIA GROUP, inc. As the media market continues to merge with the streaming services STGN 49 decided to expand our footprint into areas that are underserved in media and diversity. Being an independent broadcasters comes with an enormous amount of challenges, such as programming, talent, markets and competitors. Each challenge is a component to creating a solid product and must be present if you have a desire for the business to succeed.  In the near future we will be holding a private and public offering to help expand the platform and give our audience what they deserve; clean family friendly television.

We are in the business of entertainment and that means safe television for the youngest to the oldest.  We want to become a household name and want others to enjoy our platform when they are starting their day or sitting at the dinner table.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were to come into town, I would show them our studio and explain how the magics happen. I would then treat them to a simple brunch to my favorite brunch restaurant, “Another Broken Egg in Johns Creek. Afterwards we would sit still and chat and reminisce about old times until the evening draws near. Once the evening draws near, more than likely we would probably settle downtown for a nice seafood dinner at Oceanaires.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
SSgt Chastina Shalyn Turntine (Army) I would tell her to stay focused and keep moving forward in life because things are subject to change!
