Meet Johnny Mulsane | Songwriter & Recording Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Johnny Mulsane and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Johnny, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Well, ever since I started understanding music at a young age, a passion for wanting to song write & perform grew, which then I chose would always be my plan A in life. Hearing a song on the radio or party, then watching the reaction to people how they take in the music was always like magic to me. I wanted to create that magic, I wanted to tell my story, I wanted the radio playing my songs, I wanted to relate to the ones that couldn’t tell their story not because they don’t want to, but they can’t. The rush you get when performing, always in the studio, collaborating, and most importantly, being put in the position to assist others, new relationships, plus build an empire. Sounds like a dream but I knew I could make it reality.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from the others, I would say be my drive. The consistency and passion for still wanting to make a name in the industry continues to burn today even more intense & bright. I’m proud that I can still put out good quality music and the reactions are for the most part good ones. Which leads to the excitement in being able to just create. Going to the studio and knocking out almost 10 songs a day, studying the artists that came before me, trusting God, knowing where I came from and where I want to be is what got me where I’m at today. Was it easy, not even close but I accept all the challenges it comes with. I can’t complain about what I asked for. Hard to put a number on the lessons I have learned, what I can say is that I’m always learning something new. I want the world to know that Johnny Mulsane is a driven consistent artist who values putting out music you can relate too and vibe too every time, and you can overcome any obstacle.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There’s actually a lot of spots out in the city that I attend when I’m there. We in the country so things are spread out, if we in Raleigh definitely for breakfast going to First Watch or Metro Diner, if time permits a few of those mornings, we go to Big C Waffles in Durham or Uptown Chicken & Waffles in Fayetteville. We got Drive Shack where you play golf and enjoy a drink, which is one of my favorite spots, walk the strip of Glenwood Ave at night, that’s usually where all the lit bars and most action take place or Fayetteville St. NC love sports so it’s nothing to grab tickets for a college game UNC, State, Duke, or even professional Carolina Panthers or Charlotte Hornets. The city is getting bigger by the day, we might luck up on show tickets to see your favorite artist or comedian, Red Hat, The Ritz, Coastal Credit Union, PNC and more, be surprised the celebrities that come to Raleigh.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have a few shoutouts, first and foremost God, because without him none of this would even be possible. The fans & supporters, thank you for listening and allowing me to do something I love at the same time continuing to provide you with good music. My family & friends for being my backbone, my team, especially my engineer/producer for pushing me to new heights every time. The list can continue…. Really a product of my environment, everyday experiences craft the story of Johnny Mulsane.
