Meet Ashley Roye | Chef & Family Life Educator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Roye and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashley, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
As a committed entrepreneur and dedicated student, I’m often faced with demanding challenges and conflicting responsibilities. During these times, I rely on my faith for strength and guidance. Believing that a higher power is supporting me helps me remain centered and focused on my goals.
It can be difficult to balance multiple passions and academic pursuits while staying motivated, but regularly reflecting on my priorities and what drives me has helped me stay on track. I remind myself of the bigger picture and stay committed to fulfilling my potential and making an impact in the lives of others.
Through my experiences, I have learned that success isn’t only about innate talent or intelligence; it also requires resilience and perseverance. It was these qualities that enabled me to make honor roll, a significant academic achievement that I am proud to have accomplished. This success drives me to aim higher and pursue even loftier goals, including making the Dean’s List.
Ultimately, my faith and a willingness to persevere have been instrumental in helping me realize my potential, both in academics and entrepreneurship. I am excited to continue on my journey and see where these values take me next.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was coming to town and I wanted to show them the best time ever, I would definitely take them to some of my favorite spots in Atlanta. We would start our week-long trip by going to TOAST on Lenox, where I would order the Salmon and Grits with extra sauce, as well as the Fried Lobster – it’s truly mind-blowing!
Next up, we would head to The Battery, a popular spot for drinks and good vibes. We’d be sipping on Margaritas while taking in the atmosphere and enjoying the company of the friendly locals. Honestly, it’s hard to pick just one area – Atlanta is bursting with unique and friendly people and we would come across so many different personalities, whether we were at the Cumberland Mall, Lenox or the Marietta Square.
One thing I absolutely love about Atlanta is the entrepreneurial spirit that is so prevalent here. Whether it’s exploring the bustling tech scene or checking out some of the city’s up-and-coming startups, there’s always something exciting happening in the world of entrepreneurship.
Overall, there’s no shortage of amazing things to do and see in Atlanta. From its incredible food and drink scene to its friendly locals and vibrant entrepreneurial spirit, it’s a city that truly has it all. I can’t wait to show my best friend all that Atlanta has to offer – it’s sure to be an unforgettable trip!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, I have to give a huge shoutout to my incredible parents. Coming from a Caribbean background, they instilled in me the value of hard work and dedication from a young age. Their unwavering support and encouragement has been a driving force in my life, both personally and professionally.
I also have to give a special shoutout to the book that changed my life – “Shift Your Thinking” by Dean Del Sesto. That very first page asked a thought-provoking question: “If you were a brand, would you purchase yourself?” That one question completely shifted my perspective on how I live my life. I have since then strived to represent the best version of myself in everything I do.
And I cannot forget about my amazing cousins and friends. They have been there for me throughout thick and thin, providing valuable advice and support when I need it the most. We’re like sisters, and they push me to be the best version of myself every single day. I want to dedicated a Special Shout Out to my Best Friend friend who passed away in October of 2022 RIP Tracey Austin who was a major support and cheerleader to me. Thank You
Thank you to all my clients who have supported my busniess over the years.
Last but certainly not least, I have to recognize the incredible team of women I work with. They are all motivating in their own way, and their guidance and advice is invaluable in growing as a leader. And of course, my biggest motivation of all – my children. They are the reason I wake up every day ready to take on the world and strive for success.
