We had the good fortune of connecting with Capri Moody and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Capri, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is hustling. The success of my brand is to hustle.

When I think of hustling, I think of hard work, network and marketing, adaptability, problem solving, continuous improvement, time management & entrepreneurial spirit. I believe that it is also important to maintain a balance between hustle and self-care to prevent burnout and ensure long-term success. Hustling should be accompanied by effective stress management, maintaining a healthy work-life balance, and taking time for personal well-being.

Ultimately, hustling involves combining passion, dedication, and proactive efforts to build a thriving and fulfilling professional journey.

What should our readers know about your business?
Capri Naturals LLC is a barbershop and natural hair care salon that offers a wide range of services for men, women, & kids. I specialize in natural hair care, but I also offer traditional barbering services such as haircuts, shaves, and beard trims.

What sets me apart from others that Capri Naturals LLC is what I like to call it a “One Stop Shop”. Not only are you able to get your haircut but you can get your hair shampooed, braided, retwisted, & more.

I am most proud of and excited about expanding my business outside of the traditional barbershop & salon suites services. I am currently offering my services for events such as weddings, funerals, parties etc.. I also travel to various states across the country for private events, celebrities, movies sets & video/photo shoots.

Business-wise, I am where I am today because not only did I see my vision, I manifested it. My vision was realistic (meaning: it all had to make sense to me) and having a plan made everything I thought was hard, easier.
Letting go was one of my challenges. But removing myself from people, places, & things that no longer served a purpose in my life showed me what my distractions were and helped me to focus on my business.

One lesson I learned along the way is to always be open to learning something new. As a barber, for me I’m dedicated to constantly improving my skills, staying informed about the latest trends, techniques and products, and providing the best possible experience for my clients.

I want the world to know that I’m building a business based on a skill that I had no knowledge of prior to educating myself. I say that to say this, “It’s never too late to find a skill, perfect it, & turn your talent into a business. A business that you can take with you anywhere in the world and make money from it.”

One of the best feelings beyond the chair of a barber is knowing that I have a talent that can really change a person mood. I’m talking about that good mood when you look in the mirror and not only look good but you feel even better. Because when you look good you feel good right?

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I moved to ATL about two years ago from Baltimore MD. So Event Brite is definitely my go-to for upcoming events. I haven’t been exploring as much as I should. I do have a few places I would like to go: A Braves & Falcons game, Botanical Garden, Six Flags, & visit all the waterfalls in Georgia just to name a few. I also love beer, preferably IPAs. I am open to a brewery during happy hour or anywhere someone recommend to me when it comes to fun, food, and drinks.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
“The Four Agreements” is a self-help book written by Don Miguel Ruiz.

The book means exactly what the agreements are: to Be Impeccable with Your Word, Don’t Take Anything Personally, Don’t Make Assumptions, and Always Do Your Best.

I love that these agreements are really great principles to live by. By adopting and practicing these four agreements, I was able to transform my relationship with myself and others, break free from limiting beliefs, and create a life that is more aligned with my true self.

Ever since I read this book I experience greater happiness, inner peace, and personal empowerment.
