We had the good fortune of connecting with Oliver Villacorta and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Oliver, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve been on a mission to educate as many people as possible about the evolving landscape of cybersecurity. As technology advances, risks of being connected to the world increase. I’ve been in the technology industry for over a decade, and I’ve witnessed many clients and organizations not receiving straightforward or wrong advice and being over charged. I love consulting and building relationships with clients. Being a trusted advisor in a subject I’m passionate and good at is what drove me to start my own consulting gig.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I love educating others on what I do on a daily basis. Being educated in security not only helps you personally, but also any organization you might be a part of. I’ve been doing this for a while now and I love what I do, which not many people can say.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love Atlanta for the food and nightlife, depending on the mood you are in it’s got something for everyone. I like the latin spots like Eclipse de Luna and Habitat, but also really like the EDM scene at District and Iris. Food is great here with many local spots, I like Bone garden cantina, 26 thai, and my neighborhood fav the Bucket Shop.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to thank all my mentors along my life and career, as well as my family that has always been there to support me.
