We had the good fortune of connecting with Cori Brock and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cori, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Photography is a true passion of mine. The art that I create with my camera is my contribution to the world. I take pride in developing a brand for small business owners. Atlanta has been a great city to do that. I have created book covers for authors, website and social media content for upcoming professionals, and client portfolios from head shots to products. My services include gaining an understanding of my client’s business so that I can translate their message into visuals for the audience. Ultimately the goal is to provide digital content to take your business to the next level.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I spent most of my adult life in middle management. Working in corporate environments shaped eye for marketing. Over 10 years ago when I started my photography career, my biggest challenge was learning who my audience was. When I begin to work with entrepreneurs and professionals such as real estate agents, business owners, and other managers, it felt natural to me. I learned to focus my business to my crowd. There are so many areas of photography but you can’t give your best to all of them. When I decline jobs in the areas of photography outside of my focus in order to pursue areas that were, my business increased.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
That’s a hard one for me because I feel like Atlanta has so many vibes and I like to go from one to the next depending on my mood. I would like to start with bar and view at the Sun Dial. I love viewing the city from the 73rd floor. For fun and hanging out, TopGolf midtown Atlanta is one of my favs. I feel like I couldn’t have a guest visit Atlanta without taking them to Lenox Mall and Atlantic Station to shop. Finally we have to get our “grown and sexy” vibes from BQE (Edgewood Blvd) or Suite Lounge (Lucky Street). A night of live music and good food is always a good night for me.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am surrounded by family and friends that have collectively supported and encouraged me to be the best version of myself. Many of the people in my circle are doing well in their area of expertise so I am constantly inspired by them. My first photography instructor gave me some advice that I will never forget: “Photography is an on-going class that you will never graduate”. Because of that concept, with every job I push myself harder. To my wife, family, and friends – thank you for a lifetime of support.
