We had the good fortune of connecting with Paul Blake and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Paul, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I am from Jamaica. I grew up in a poor farming community. I suffered from low self-esteem as a child because I was not doing well academically. My parents divorced when I was 15 years old. This affected how I viewed life, especially as a young adult. For much of my young adult life, I did not have much sense of direction. i always knew I wanted to make a difference in the world. I just did not know how to do it. My turning point came in 1998 when I became a Christian and my interest was sparked in serving in the ministry. I went on to study theology and discovered I had a passion for counselling and psychology. From dealing with people in the church, I realized that I loved encouraging people to find fulfillment in their lives. One of my go to passages is John 10: 10. I am convinced there is a quality of life God wants us to experience on earth which many Christians are not doing. My mission is to help people experience abundant living by changing the way they think about themselves. i want people to be passionate about living and discover their God-given purpose.

I want want our brand to be known for impacting lives to finding passion in liivng and purpsuing greatness.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Being Jamaican and a country buff at heart, I would say visit any country side in Jamaica and it will be an amazing experience. Going to Dunns River falls in Ocho Rios is a must do and eating some jerk pork or chicken from Boston in Portland is a to-die-for experience. Just taking a drive in any direction in Jamaica will allow you to meet some of the most beautiful people and as you drive, there is just so much cuisine to discover.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Interestingly, the first time I was exposed to anything motivation was some 20-odd years ago while working for a company in Jamaica. We had a sales seminar where the presenter played a Les brown video. It left an impression on me and even though I did not have access to any of his material after that one video, I always remembered how I felt listening to him. I find Les Brown to be authentic, and he is my go-to person when I need motivation and inspiration. My family is also a driving force for me. Their encouragement keeps pushing me forward to accomplish great things. They stand behind me in everything. Sometimes I feel like I am trying to take on too much and they remind me that i am building a legacy not for myself, but for the world and the generations coming after me.
