We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Marie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, what do you attribute your success to?
The Most important factor behind my success, is my clients… The people that keep coming back to me because of me , they support me, they refer me and they make my businesses what it is today. Thank you so much to my Family and Friends for making this happen it really is a dream come true.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have always been interested in photography it started all in a the dark room in high school I feel in love with the smell of the chemicals , developing the film and making prints. I would stay in the dark room in my spare time in school. I loved this so much I remember having conversations with my Father about blading a dark room in our basement at the time, that didn’t happen but y’all get the picture.

Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy at all, it came with a lot of challenges but it molded me in to the woman I am today. Lessons I learned in the journey is that nothing is the same ever year comes with new challenges, and what you learned last year might now work the next year.

The biggest challenge is balancing a work/life balance, being a small business and living in a smaller city a lot of people think you should always be at able to answer them in one min. Us small business owners are usually running this business’ alone. We not only are small business owners running this alone, we are Mothers/Fathers, some work another job on top of this, We are daughters/son’s. Some of us are Wife’s/Husbands and we have family and friends that need us too. We go thru things just like you, and we need time to enjoy the fruits of out labor. Running a business is a 24/7 job while you are sleeping sometimes we are awake brainstorming our next chapter of life…

Ashley Marie Photography MKE came about after my daughter was born. She is and was my forever model for ever idea that I had, from going out in to a rainstorm, snowstorm to photoshoots at the beach.. I’m forever grateful for the support during the times when I first started to get to where I am today. This is a part of the reason why I still run specials for affordable portraits.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Thank you to my family, friends and clients who counite to support me especially this year. This year has been rough with personally life just doing life. They have been so understanding and supportive is an understatement I love yall!! I don’t want to single any one person or person out on who made this possible, because everyone that is close to me that I talk to on a regular is a big part of why Ashley Marie Photography still is blooming. Some times just a chit chat from a regular client reminds me of where I am , where I want to be and where I came from.
