Meet Rico Gonzalez | Professional Wrestler/Entertainer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rico Gonzalez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rico, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Definitely showing up and showing out! Along with getting to know people personally, so many other people have helped me get further than I could have on my own. Also, smile and wave has helped!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Wreslting is the most beautiful, bizarre, crazy, unique form of art in the world. Along with the most underrated, a spectacle which is sometimes easy to understand and other times, very complicated to put together and grasp as a performer. It has lifted and broken me at times, a true love story. A journey that you have to witness yourself to understand. Support your Local independent Wreslting and visit the WWA4 in Austell, GA every Thursday Night at 8pm!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I LOVE food! We can go with whatever you’re feeling at the moment! Mexican food in Norcross
Colombian in Lawrenceville
Asian food on Buford Highway
Oysters in Midtown
Steaks basically anywhere
Pho in Duluth
Wings off of every corner
Or if we’re feeling a Waffle House also in every corner of Atlanta, best believe I’m down!!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
To raise a child, it might take a village…and this couldn’t be more true to the world of professional wrestling! I would like to shout out so many that have helped me learn and grow over the past couple of years. Starting with the greatest school of professional wrestling, the WWA4 in Atlanta, Georgia and the OG responsible for so many successful careers, AR Fox, alongside his partner in crime and WWA4 management Ayla Fox! They have built and created to many greats in this business from the ground up many of which have come back to help the new generation of talent! I would also like to personally thank my boyfriend AC Mack which has help me tread the waters which sometimes get murky out here in this crazy world, he always helps reel me in and keep a level head when I feel like I’m loosing myself, I love you!
Shout out to so many others that had no reason to help me but did anyways selflessly, so many to mention for so many reasons but in no order: Kavron Kanyon, Ashton Starr, Dillon Mqueen, Matt Griffin, Scott Hensley, Dillon Hales, Bobby Flaco, Brogan Finlay, Hunter Drake, The Nawfside Heroes, Zamir Zuriel, Top Team, Spectre, Billie Starkz, Rebecca Bridget, Mouse, Suge D, Darian Bengston, sooo many more and I’m sorry if I missed you but Love you all and thanks for every and anything you’ve done for me!
