Hi Boardboy Music, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
It started with just us following our dreams and then we started to realize the real world insisted that such a thing wasn’t that complex , We later came to the conclusion to start our own label and / powerhouse since everything was “in-house” anyway.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Well as a collective first to tell our stories to tell our story individually for Kydo Chill his art spreads vastly he’s an engineer a producer a graphic designer and a artist as being brothers in him being Otis we’ve changed his dreams since we were four and five years old he is always figured out the barriers and what it means to approach the music industry for kydo Chill Is music aims at the melodic approach and hearts and minds of the soul preferably the women giving great detail and unique sounds Not being afraid to express yourself in whatever way fits His sound is unique because the sound doesn’t have a homebase he tends to re-create it every time he does new music . And as for Kri$Truth He is always aim for a more lyrical approach with his witty bars and Conscious raps he follows The traditional way of music when it comes to hip-hop most of the time where did as bar for bar quotes metaphors double entendres his similes he embodies hip-hop and on the other side he’s very spiritual and guys the listeners if you will down the road of knowledge Although he follows the traditional way of hiphop He too cannot be conformed to a style as he like to say a lot of times he chooses a form in every form is the outer body experience that you get each different time he gives you new projects are new songs As Boardboy music we are proud of our journey being that we’re independent record label having to figure out everything every step of the way along with being creative with music it’s a blood sweat and tears it took sere will to keep it going A lot of challenges were if we were going to go towards a major or keep Striving as an independent collective and with that it took serious amount of funding that not a day job and or a hustle can generate so we had to put our minds together and learn to fund raise whether that be in the streets or legit And the lessons we learned is just to keep faith and never give up

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Probably go out and have drinks catch up explore restaurants that neither of us has been to I DK go with the vibe I guess knowing my best friends they’ll be OK with either one

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There’s actually two in mind The first one would be “Kanye West” for his hardship and grind in the music industry it is Genesis being that he was a producer that wasn’t expected to do what he done and then breaking barriers as an artist that was real inspirational to us and second will be “Future “ Because he did everything is on the way and dominated a charts while doing so his independence is a great inspiration and influence on us
