We had the good fortune of connecting with Ormani Propst and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ormani, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Balancing my work and personal life has been a challenge for me for over the past couple of years. Last year I was blessed with my first born “Saige” and it’s been a life changing Experience ever since. I have had to change the whole way of working as a creator and try to have balance in between work and personal life.
In all I can’t complain, I love a challenge to make myself better at my craft and how I get things done.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I will say that the most thing that I am proud of your side about is the future in where I am headed. I have came a long way from doing photography of nature and objects to now working with artists and creative individuals like myself. Getting too where I am today was not easy and took a lot of sacrifice. In order for me to get past and overcome challenges, I had to understand the craft and how to build up myself to gain the respect for my work. Being in this industry and working with many people, there’s lessons that you learn from. Fort an example Communication, being on schedule, be open to the people that you’re working with, and understanding that we are not perfect but once you realize that you have a gift anything is possible. I want people to understand that my brand and my work is reflection of my Passion, which has brought me this far. I want people to see my work and see the progression over the years. As time has passed. I have been working to better my craft and be open to new ideas. This journey has brought me so much joy and love for the art of directing and photography even more.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had a friend coming into town and I was trying to figure out where to go, it would honestly be places that I like to go such as walks in trails/parks, live music, and great food. Maybe take them around my way, which is sometimes more fun than usual such as to the music studio or photo studio. I’ll bring them around the different people and different settings. I’m not the type to go out to clubs or lounges. I love creating my own setting.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Yes, I would love to give a shoutout to my parents for one. Since day one they have supported me as an entrepreneur. They always push me to be a better version of myself and to never be afraid to go get what you believe in. My parents are both hustlers in their own way and have been married for 20+ years which is an inspiration to me. One day I would love to marry my lover that I see myself growing with for the rest of my life and us building. a foundation for our children to flourish on.
