We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Raye and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
The habits that I feel helped with my success have been life changing for me. I wake up between 5am-6am which helps with my productivity, completing tasks, and crushing my goals. My fitness and wellness lifestyle has also played a part in my success as well. It’s a big part of my selfcare routine. I believe it keeps me balanced and gives me the strength to think clearly and execute my goals along with running successful businesses. Lastly I make sure that I keep a tight circle and watch the company I am around. Anything negative Im busy. Your network is your net worth and the people you hang around and or associate yourself with can have a big impact on you as well as your livelihood.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What separates me apart from others is that I am always willing to learn. I never stopped learning. I’m always a student before I am a teacher.

I would say my biggest accomplishment that I’m most proud of is the fact that I was able to grow a successful business on my own with no help. I was able to get through every adversity that life may have thrown me and I am still standing and continuing to thrive in every aspect of life.

How I got where I’m at today professionally is by being patient and giving everything time. It’s not easy and some days you get discouraged, but have to stay focused and stay motivated. Understanding that nothing happens overnight and it takes time and dedication for greatness!

The lessons I have learned along the way are that you can’t do everything by yourself. Get help when needed. As a business owner you cant grow or scale a business without the help of others and their expertise that you may lack in.

What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?

What I want the world to know about my brand and story is that it was created out of the drive and dedication of wanting to be my own boss. I wanted to be able to build something and have generational wealth for my daughter and my family. My brand story is everything I have been through Good,Bad and the Ugly. Ever since I have been younger I always wanted to have my own business. I always wanted to do something different that was out of the norm. With my drive, tenacity and the will to have the things that I want I was able to accomplish a lot of things in my life that I didn’t think could be possible for me.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The spots that I would take my friends to are my favorite restaurant which is Link and Pin and of course Steak 48. We can do some shopping at Southpark Mall and also I love being in the South End area where you can do a number of things and have fun. I’m not much of a club person so I would take them to some really nice lounges or some rooftop bars like the Grand Bohemian or Merchant and Trade just to wine down and have a good time. Of course I am a person that loves Fitness & Wellness so of course I’m going to invite them to my gym Pure Grind Fitness.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mother is the reason for me having so much tenacity and motivation. I grew up seeing her work hard to get the things she desired and she never complained. Seeing that showed me that as long as I work smarter and not harder I can have whatever I want. Consistency is key!
