We had the good fortune of connecting with Sam Aíko and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sam, what makes you happy? Why?
Making others happy of course! I love spreading love and happiness with others!
I feel as if we all try everyday to be better and push towards our goals and everyone deserves a support system and great energy!
Putting a smile on someone’s face will go a long way!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve always been the type of person to keep pushing. No matter what. I’ve been through some very challenging experiences and it made me so strong as an individual. I am most excited to start traveling and creating more content for my followers and meeting all types of content creators around the world!
I would say, having to be consistent with promoting brands and getting the word out was definitely hard. Consistency is always key. My consistency definitely played a huge role in getting recognition from these company’s and brands which I’m so honored to work for!
Being a content creator can be a learning experience. I used to think content creators had it easy but I soon began to realize how much work and energy is put into this field of work. I would love the world to know that my main goal is to help others with their journey as a content creator and how to remain positive and consistent and successful when working for social media (:

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Definitely out for a drink and tacos. You can never go wrong with a margarita and tacos!
My bestie and I have busy schedules so we don’t see each other as often but when we do, our favorite place to hit for tacos and margaritas is cactus 3 here in iowa city!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to give my Mother credit. My mom has always pushed me to be great and helped me pull through many challenges in my life.
I carry myself very well as a young woman and I can’t thank anyone enough but my mother for always being my number one supporter and raising me into the woman I am today. Much love.
