Meet Lola Taylor | CEO-3d-Dispatch Services @FirstFemaleofFreight

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lola Taylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lola, what are you inspired by?
helping others, creating wealth for my family, having freedom, flexibility and financial stability. Just enjoying life and not missing milestone moments.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
3d-Dispatch Services LLC provides affordable dispatch services, training and trucking solutions. We help keep drivers safe by booking loads, scheduling routes and completing paperwork. We offer virtual and in-person interactive training classes/courses. We teach entrepreneurs how to start a trucking company, a freight dispatch company or how to make money providing carrier compliance.
Unlike most industry leaders we are still active in trucking. We teach from current actual experience. We literally book loads daily and manage our logistics company every single day. Our Long-Haul Leadership program provides training, mentorship, tools, templates and ongoing support. We have clients that have been with us 3 plus years.
I am most proud of being a Certified CEO. I was laid off my corporate job June 13, 2020. Thank God we had the trucking company to support us financially. Once I was terminated my WHOLE life changed, 3d-Dispatch was born, and I never looked back. You cannot put a price on waking up each day deciding how it starts and ends. CEO Life is both rewarding and demanding. i would not change it for anything in this world. I wish i knew then what i know now. I was not there for the birth of my first grandchild. I was in 22 states that year. I barely saw my mom 3 times a year. Once I became a CEO, I will never forget the surreal moment I had. I was at my son’s house babysitting; he and his wife were in Vegas. I was at the house with my 4-year-old granddaughter, my 4-month-old grandson, my 72-year-old mom. Daycare, runs, diaper changes, cooking dinner, conducting calls, Netflix and chill! In that moment i realized the true rewards of not having to work for someone else. I share this story a lot because that is my reward=TIME. The single thing in this life that cannot be replaced. This is why I am so passionate about teaching others. My students are single mothers, people with medical conditions, or some that are just tired of working for others. I give them the skills, motivation and support to make it happen and i love every single minute of it. My passion is my pay. Last Month i was a Top 5 Nominee for the OTR Solutions Influential Woman in Logistics Award. Individuals that have taken my course and/or connected with me shared heartwarming and amazing stories of how I helped and inspired them during their journey to entrepreneurship. The highest grade i completed is the 7th, I got my GED when I was pregnant with my son. If I can be a successful CEO anyone can. I am honored to share my story. We never know the impact we have on others. My goal is to extend my reach through partnerships and marketing.
Started in Trucking 2016 and we failed. A lot of sleepless nights, lack of knowledge, lack of experience, I was taken advantage of a lot and it cost major money. We restructured 2019 strategically planned everything for 4 months. Improved personal credit, built business credit, rented an office space, educated ourselves. The 3rd truck we purchased on business credit 38k from Penske. We got up to 8 trucks and now are down to 3. We decided to focus on other areas of trucking that have less financial risks such as dispatching, compliance, educating others, etc. Neither my husband, son nor myself had a CDL so we consistently found ourselves at the mercy of drivers. We had 8 trucks and most of the time only 3 were working due to drivers and/or repairs.
I would like the world to know that I live my life on Purpose with Purpose. I am collecting Kingdom Credits! I don’t want to be remembered as a wonderful wife and mother. I want to leave inspiration, education, that last lifetimes! I truly want each and every one to win. I don’t see competition, i see partnership. i cannot train every student, book every load, help every carrier, etc. I want to create community, unity, and confidence among us. I host an annual Women’s Day event for international women’s day to CELEBRATE! woman! No completion! all love, support, and fun. This year we introduced Cargo Queens & Kings mentorship membership because it’s not all about women. We need to include the fellas. Singles, Couples All of us working together to create leverage in the trucking community.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
3d-is named after my daughter the 3rd Delores. Delores Zy’kirra Stephens III (her legal name). My mom is Delores Brown, I am Delores Lola Taylor, when i was 5 years old i promised my mother i would name my daughter Delores after both of us and I kept my word. Since my daughter is the 3rd Delores we nicknamed her 3d. Unfortunately, she died at 6 years old in a house fire, Marietta, GA Jan 14, 2006, and was buried on her 7th Birthday, January 19, 2006. Since we planned a Disney princess birthday Party. We honored that for her funeral. No tears, No black, a celebration of her life. Everyone wore princess gowns, and her casket was transported by a white horse and carriage, 7 doves released, and 19 balloons. I am very passionate about my brand because every day I honor her memory and she lives through my mentorship and service to others. This is something i do not share because one i don’t know which emotion will come out, two i don’t want people to think that I use it to get sympathy or sales.
My husband, Kevin Taylor, that’s bae 🙂 he coaches me, cheers me and checks me when needed. He gives me balance between boss and bae. Reminds me the importance of not being argumentative with naysayers, feeling discouraged when someone with a bigger audience takes my ideas as if they are their own, or not fire clients that work my nerves because I can. After working for corporate America so long the transition to CEO life can inflate your ego real quick. He reminds me that hot air balloons run off helium and a simple puncture can deflate it even quicker. Thankful i listed to him in the very beginning we would have lost hundreds of thousands of dollars because of Ego.
My son Derrick Stephens Jr has been instrumental to the success of the brand. Along with giving his mom pep talks lol. He created the logo design in his sister’s honor. The symbol in the middle is her zodiac sign, the halo is because she is an angel, and the sound bites are for dispatching. He created our website, flyers, and manages anything money related. i am very grateful for my soon.
Sharae, Founder of She Trucking, my first few months in the industry. I was given her number. She took the time to mentor me and now she is a leader in the trucking industry. We both have grown tremendously since our original connection. When I started in trucking, 2016, we did not have training and resources like we have today as a result I made a lot of mistakes that cost me a lot of money. I am very proud to be one of many that offer training & mentorship to help set Truckingpreneurs up for success.
