We had the good fortune of connecting with Teylor Bonner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Teylor, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Starting my own business has been something that I wanted to do since I was a child. Every project and activity we got to do in our classes, I would use my last name backwards as my business name. My family is so important to me and my biggest blessing therefore my plan has always been to create something that represents them and can soon allow me to take care of them as well as eventually put me in a position to create a non-profit so I can help others.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is a challenge for me in the best of ways. When I’m creating for me, it’s therapeutic. I can express what I’m feeling through the colors, the angles… it’s all intentional. Only very very few people will contact me after being able to see the small parts of my emotions in my creation. My art also allows me a source of communication with others in sharing a vibration in a moment that we all get to walk away with forever. What sets me apart is the experience I’m able to have with complete strangers during such intimate moments. Its always a beautiful lesson. I still get nervous before sessions because I care about making sure I bring to life what someone is trusting me to create with them.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For my bestfriend and I, bodies of water, places that can share some sort of fundamental information, foods that are different from our cultures and an activity that we may not get to do elsewhere are always on the itinerary. We gotta get dirty at some point haha! Create with out hands and try at least one thing different than what we may normally do. Life goes by so fast, if it’s in the budget we will make it happen, if its too pricey I guarantee I’ll find a price friendly version of it. My bestfriend is my soulmate and thank the Lord we are very similar when it comes to trips. We took our first trip together some years ago for my birthday. We volunteered and helped rebuild a house, hiked in the rain forest, ate and partied with the locals, kayaked 12 miles into the bioluminescent bay, visited every beach we could get to and spent quality time with each other, EVEN HAD REST DAYS haha that’s so important for the both of us.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my family. They have always been the most solid, consistent and honest source of love. There is no way in the world I’d be able to keep my right mind without them and the ones that have passed on. There won’t ever be enough words to express my gratitude for them.
