We had the good fortune of connecting with Kayla Day and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kayla, what’s your definition for success?
In order to define success you have to know what success is to you. Every individual has their own idea of success. Many think money or fame is success. For me success is reaching my goals, being a good example for my daughter and sometimes just making it to the next day. Everyday is different but everyday as long as I’m living and being proactive everyday is a success.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is a Day Spa. We specialize in all things relaxation. We offer massages, facials, teeth whitening, body contouring, IV therapy, waxing, Microshading and so much more. This business is black own, woman own and LGBTQ+friendly. Inside my facility is also two other businesses thriving and succeeding in their own way. My journey has been hard every obstacle possible I’ve cross it. I quit my job as lead nurse to follow my dream. While chasing this dream I went back to school full time to get my degree in psychology during a pandemic. My brand speaks for its self Serenity-the state of being calm, peaceful, and untroubled.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Day one: Brunch (midtown) followed by walk to downtown visiting historic and memorable sites of Atlanta. Dinner on rooftop. Day two: Breakfast nearby local black own spot. Followed by hike that ends with yoga by waterfall. Later nightlife in the city.
Final day: Brunch with endless mimosa
Later trip to Stone Mountain
Followed by a quite night in the city listening to smooth jazz.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My village deserves as much credit as I do without them this couldn’t be. My daughter Royalé Michellé who is my inspiration to keep swimming.
