We had the good fortune of connecting with Kimberly Gordon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

If you had $1 million to invest right now, how would you use that capital?
If I had $1 million dollars I would expand Kim’s Truckers and Business Solutions. I would purchase a commerce center. I would purchase several new commercial trucks for CDL license trainings. I will sell products and provide on site CDL, Business services and consultations. The center will also offer truck parking, a truckers lounge with a cafeteria and a truck wash.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
previous owner of trucking company of K & KA Transport of 10 years.. It was very challenging being a woman in a man’s world. . Due to economic changes, new laws and conditions I decided to change my business path. During my trucking company career I lacked many resources, knowledge and classes that’s wasn’t available to me that I would like to offer to others to succeed. Kim’s Truckers & Business solutions was formed. OUR MISSION: To provide timely, proactive, innovative, and independent tax, general business, and logistics services to truckers. Understanding that serving our clients is the reason we are here has been fundamental to KTBS’s growth and success.

Trucking is my passion and my desire to help others set me apart from the rest.

I am excited to help others form and build their business.. I provide many services from forming your business, tax needs to general basic business or DOT services for your business.. I am looking forward to providing many more resources and to offer courses in the future. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, There are many resources and grants available within your community. Research your industry, Educate yourself. Learn Your Business! My brand is to build your business!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Monday we will hang out and we will do an atv scenery trail ride through the trails of wild wood park in Appling, GA

Tuesday ,a party boat ride on Soap Creek, Lincolnton GA to a lakefront restaurant that specializes in steak, seafood and delicious cocktails called WILLIEMAC

Wednesday , a trip to Savannah Ga for a day of shopping at the Tanger Outlets and to stroll the famous RIVERSTREET.

Thursday , hang out at THE CAROLINA DRAGWAY, Jackson SC to watch drag racing competitions

Friday, A day of pampering and spa day at the SOL HIMALAYAN SALT CAVE AND SPA, Evans GA

Saturday “Take me out to the ballgame” to THE SRP PARK,GREEN JACKETS BASEBALL GAME in North Augusta, SC

Sunday we will have wine tasting and fine dining at CORK & FLAME, Evans GA before departing…

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First, I would like to add this part to my SHOUT OUT…” Shout out to my Son and My daughter Kamyah And Kadarius for looking up to me, for motivating me to do what I do. I pray that God give them the ability to become successful and to carry on my Legacy”.

I would also like to give all honors and Glory to God! God gave me the strength to go on when I felt like giving up. He opened new doors when doors closed , he put great people in my path to help me along my Journey! Without God I’m nothing!

My biggest shout out is to my late mother, BETTY J MARSHALL. My mother introduced me to the business world. She taught me how to become an independent woman. I admired her strength, her drive to help others , I thank God for my Mother.

My Late grandmother Eva L Marshall, a strong woman of God. Instilled in me that “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. She taught me to never settle and to be all that i can be!

I would like to send a shout out to Tara Tankersly-Stallings, my mentor , Counselor Life coach at Destiny life Management group who will put time aside no matter when I need her.

Last but not least, God has place many great people in my path to help me throughout my journey. Special Shout out to my Sister in Christ Golanda Blackwell for nominating me for SHOUTOUT. Her words always feeds my soul. God place her in my life when I was still in process of starting my business and we have been connected every since. Check out her new single “MY EVERYTHING”
