We had the good fortune of connecting with Lorenzi Tyson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lorenzi, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success would be my 5 daughters, My dedication and determination in the beauty industry most definitely came from being a single mother of five before the age 23, without them I probably would have never took my talent as serious as I did. I would have probably still been working from this job to that job

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The beauty industry is very competitive a lot of people don’t look at it that way but it is. I’m from a small town that is saturated with hairstylist I don’t compete with anybody but if you don’t take it serious, keep up with trends you will fall under. I just be myself, create styles and techniques that work for me and I’m very open to learning new things! The beauty industry moves fast so you gotta be able to learn what’s new & upcoming fast & that’s how I got to where I am today along with my customer service skills. It was never easy but once I learned what worked for me it lightened my load, I came in with the eat or starve mentality but as I grew older in the game I had to learn that taking breaks and spending time with my girls were also essential because you will get burnt out. I would like for the world to know that even though I’ve been in the field for almost 15 years I’m definitely not going anywhere anytime soon I’m so passionate about what I do I’m always looking to bring new services, new products & new events to the industry and to my hometown

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Douglas Ga is small, but Time Out Sports bar is always a nice vibe to hang out at and have a few drinks. You get to run into a lot of people you’ve known your whole life I don’t step out alot but it’s always good to go there to meet new people & catch up with friends & associates
