We had the good fortune of connecting with Indigo Grant and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Indigo, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I feel like without risk there wont be any rewards. It is important to make sure that you step out on fate and keep God first in every thing that you do. After consultations I pray, before and after I close deals I pray, I keep God at the front of every interaction because having discernment in this industry is important. I feel like because I was always living for other people for a lot of years I was not truly happy. Once I focused on myself and weighed my options of what I wanted for myself everything that was supposed to come to me, did. Of course, fate without works is dead and I put the work in as well.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Recently I received a proclamation from my city from my Mayor. That was huge for me because people work twice as long to attain and accomplish the things that I have done. To know I have built this in 3 years is crazy to me! The proclamation moment was a moment where I found myself pinching myself. Like WOW this is really happening. I also most recently started working alongside Andre Drummond. He’s a really amazing person. He gives me hope that good people still exist in this industry. Running his label “Farewell Music Group” means a lot to me, and I am looking forward to delivering him a successful label and getting his artists careers off the ground. It always makes me excited when I have the opportunity to play a major role in helping someone’s dreams come true. Literally being apart of that development process is everything to me! Nothing in this industry is easy, I think its truly learning to never take anything personal and to keep your emotions out of business. Once I learned this I felt like business got easier. Although at times there were things that would drive me crazy I would never allow it to pull me out of character. Fact of the matter is, God is going to place you exactly where he wants you to be at the right time!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely take them to Atrium and then we would probably end the night at Top Golf! these are my favorite spots to visit when I just want to vibe out without a crowd.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shout out every one who believes in me. I truly feel like without my clients and referrals I would be nothing. The relationships I have worked hard on retaining have gotten me to where I am and I will forever be grateful.
