We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony Evans and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anthony, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted the ability to make anyone a star. I believe everyone possesses some level of star power within themselves. I’ve always admired people who followed their dreams and my dream was to be a beacon to those who also wished to do so. The A-List Lifestyle is about “Unleashing Your Star Power.” It’s about becoming what you were meant to be.

What should our readers know about your business?
What sets The A-List Lifestyle apart from others is everything j/k, it is persistence and diligent research. Many people fail at success because they aren’t truly students of their profession, industry, or craft. I pride myself in always being a student no matter how many barriers I break.

I am most proud that my strategies never fail. I’ve had clients request to be on television, create their own movie, and even permanently quit their job. I have successfully facilitated all these and more.

My start in this business stems from my childhood, I always wanted to be a movie director. I loved watching movies and I always questioned the thought process that went into making effective cinema. Later on in life I learned that we all are in a movie to some degree. I became intrigued on how do we create the best story. That’s what a creative director does, develop the best story to connect with their intended audience.

This journey has not been easy, far from it. A lot of people don’t respect the background work, most people love the finish product. I’ve struggled with enlightening people how important ideation is. The creative process is one of the most essential parts. Without the ideas the finish product wouldn’t exist.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is to stay passionate and take credit for your work at all times. It may sound off color, but remember if you don’t take credit for your work someone else will.

I want the world to know anything you put your mind to is possible if you invest the time. Always think outside the box, don’t be afraid to dream big and dream loud. I respect the people who fail out loud more than someone who talks about all the greats things they want to do. I’ve tried so many things and I’ve learned you never fail until you give up.

I also want the world to know to be the example you want to see. You have to learn how to inspire yourself. The greatest version of you should always be on your mind. Let that keep you motivated and always unlock your full potential.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
NYC is the greatest city in the world, I’m totally biased, but Soho and Harlem are my goto spots. Those are the true cultural epicenters of NYC in my opinion.

In term of food I’m Caribbean and I’m from the Bronx, so ain’t no one competing with the Jamaicans in the North Bronx/White Plains road Area.

Fashion is also a religion in NYC, more important than sports and even eating sometimes. I can’t give out my go to spots, but I will say for exclusive kicks Soho definitely got all the best spots. Yeezys, Exclusive Jordans, Etc.

Time Square is highly underrated by New Yorkers, there’s always something fun going on over there.

NYC also has countless museums and exhibits, from the Museum of Ice Cream, Brooklyn Museum(Kaws Exhibit), Friends Exhibit, Apollo, and the list goes on.

Drinks and Restaurant are at no shortage 125th area for sure if you in Harlem, of course Soho for my cultured crowd, and then South Bronx got some amazing Spanish restaurants (I’m not giving those up, lol ).

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

My mentor Louis Callazzo, he is responsible for sparking the entrepreneurial spirit in myself. I will forever be grateful for the wisdom he has imparted in me. His shining example motivated me to operate at the level which I am at today.

And lastly the one and only Kanye Omari West, Ye taught me to follow your dreams no matter how big and unrealistic it may seem to others.
