We had the good fortune of connecting with Bridget and Shelby Story and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bridget and Shelby, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
We love a great love story! This made it simple to say yes when a friend of mine asked me to design and decorate for her daughter’s wedding. We started planning, purchasing candles, vases, runners, creating signs, restoring an antique popcorn cart and it didn’t take long to realize we were hooked. When the wedding was over, we were heartbroken at the thought of storing all the purchased items or having to sell them. Thus, Sweet Storys was born!!

What should our readers know about your business?
We have an antique popcorn cart that we rent out for weddings, showers, birthday parties etc. Clients love this unique way of thanking their guests for “popping” in. We pre bag the popcorn and then provide guests with sweet or salty snacks that can be added to their popcorn.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would start our week off with breakfast at Dottie’s in Clermont Ga where the best cathead biscuits are made! Then, we would head over to hike Yonah Mountain to see the most beautiful view Cleveland Ga has to offer! All that hiking worked up an appetite, so we would grab delicious lunch on the square at Clyde’s Tavern and Grill, might have to sneak in a little coffee from Farmhouse Coffee too! To wind down, we would take you around the Cleveland square, to our favorite boutique Revival Gifts and Apparel where the cutest tops and dresses are, and then over to our favorite home decor store called The Refined Table! It would be the best week ever full of our favorites in our hometown!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We got our start at one of the most beautiful venues around. Meadows at Mossy Creek in Cleveland Georgia has always been very supportive of us and our dreams/goals with Sweet Storys. Along with the support of the venue, we work very closely with a couple of amazing florists that continually recommend us to their clients. Lynn Darby with Darby’s Cottage and Shelby Bright with The Fresh Bloom have been instrumental in our success.
