Meet Logan Marber | Actress, Singer & Filmmaker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Logan Marber and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Logan, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I can’t imagine doing anything else. I feel like it is where I belong and what I am meant to do. It really makes me happy doing something that lets me express my emotions.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’ve been dancing since I was three and also did some modeling, but when I was six, I was a double in the movie War with Grandpa. I got to work with some of the most incredible actors of all time in that project and I decided I wanted to get into acting. My mom enrolled me in classes first, and then I was able to sign with a fantastic agency that has given me a lot of wonderful opportunities.

But, I also like to write, so I started writing scripts. After a while, I asked my mom if I could film a movie on her phone, and we recruited some of my friends from acting class to join us. That production was called The Kid Quest, and it was a lot of fun to shoot and actually turned out pretty good. My mom submitted it to some film festivals, and it ended up winning some awards. So, I wrote another one called Invisible Ink, and that one did pretty well also and was a blast to film.

Then COVID happened, and we were all stuck at home. I was looking for a way to connect with my friends, so I created two projects during that time. One Minute Meetings with Logan, which was a one-minute zoom interview with others in the acting business, and the Holiday Holly Jolly Talent Showcase, which showcased the talents of some of my industry friends and won an award from The Young Artist Academy.

Right now, I am working on another script that I hope will begin filming in the fall. So stay tuned!

BUT, I also LOVE to sing and be on stage. Before COVID, most of my projects were in TV and film, but I realized I missed being on stage. Because Broadway was closed, a lot of the actors were offering virtual classes, so I took class after class after class and learned so much! Thankfully, I have been able to perform in person for several shows recently, but that extra training has certainly helped.

I think what sets me apart is that I try to still practice my art no matter the obstacles. I started making movies because I wanted to work with my friends, and just because the pandemic happened, it didn’t stop me from doing that. I also found a way to still sing and perform, such as doing virtual showcases with various organizations. Because of that, I was able to connect with some incredible people and have some amazing opportunities. Recently, I recorded the lead voice for an animated series that will be released soon and just filmed a national commercial.

One big lesson I have learned is that not everyone will be supportive of your dreams. Some people will tell you that just because you are a kid, you shouldn’t be doing something big. Which I completely disagree with. I was eight when I made The Kid Quest, and it won at three film festivals. So, someone liked it! And even if they didn’t, it doesn’t matter because it made me and my friends happy.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely take them to a show at the Fox Theatre. I love going to shows there and every time it is such an experience. I am not a super outdoorsy person (snakes!), but going to Gibbs Gardens or the Botanical Gardens are some of my favorite things to do. As far as food, there are so many options!! If I am in the city, I have to go to Park Tavern. Up on the Roof in Alpharetta is one of my favorites, and we just had a tea room open up near me called The Ginger Room which is super fun and I am kind of obsessed with tea, so we would have to go there!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am so thankful for my mom and dad! They have supported me along the way and I love them so much. I also am really thankful for my agents and manager for believing in me – everyone at Aligned Stars, Bercy Talent, and Stewart Talent NY. Also, all of my teachers who have helped me grow – my incredible instructors at RISPA (and Danny & Georgina Louchiey), Samantha Bailey with Jan Smith Studios, and the team at Broadway Artists Alliance. I know I am forgetting someone, sorry!!
