Meet Princess King | Actress, Singer-Songwriter, Event Planner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Princess King and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Princess, why did you pursue a creative career?
When I was a little girl, “Thats So Raven” had just premiered. I remembered how in awe I was of her, I loved how entertaining, bold, and funny she was too me. By the age of 7, I had decided what I wanted to do for the rest of my life; I was going to become an actress and entertain people the same way Raven Symone and many other actresses had entertained me.

18 years later that dreamed never died it only expanded as the years went by. I began to pursue other artistic ventures (modeling, dancing, writing, and singing) and I found more ways to creatively express myself to others.

Overall, being artistic is an creative outlet for me. I genuinely love entertaining people it doesn’t matter what I’m doing. I am the most happiest and at peace with life when I’m on stage, on set, or organizing my own events. I really do believe my purpose in life is to entertain people and spread a positive message through my artistic pursuits. Most importantly, I want to teach people to never give up on your dreams.

What should our readers know about your business?
I have a business called TheKickBackEdition, where I curate theme kickbacks and Artist showcases in East Atlanta. I started this business back in 2019 once I had graduated from college with a schoolmate and a few other event planners. Originally, it was a pop up party held in Airbnbs throughout Atlanta however, Corona shut everything down and the business had to go in a different direction. The last two years has had some challenges but I saw it as a learning curve because by the end of it I came out of it more knowledgeable and prepared than I was before.

I love creating a safe space for artistic and creative people to network, showcase, and socialize with likeminded people. I think it’s important to create that kind of environment for the community. When people come to my events, I want them to feel comfortable, welcome and be prepared for high vibes and a good time all night.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Places I enjoy going to is definitely Little 5 Point and Edgewood. These places are great to find a variety of bars, clubs, lounges, and restaurants – plus 5 point is the place for all your spiritual needs.

I also really enjoy going to Cascade Park and Stone Mountain park when I just want to get away for a while.

Few other fun things to do here are attending little hidden gems in Atlanta like TheVibeCo or TheLoveBelowSpeakEasy

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a huge shout out to my mother: Mom you’re my biggest supporter and I am forever grateful for every sacrifice you’ve made to help me follow my dreams. Thank you and I love you so much!!!!
