We had the good fortune of connecting with Beau Talley and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Beau, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Great question! My initial thoughts were, I knew I had something to offer people that was different from others. The only way I could properly do that was to start my own business to serve that mission out. I really wasn’t gonna rest properly until I did that.
Also I knew I was stepping out and taking a risk, but I knew with God I would be able to accomplish jumping out and starting my business.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m entering fully in to being a Therapist and Musical therapist. I’m a guitar instructor/Coach. I’ve found this work to be absolutely rewarding. I enjoy pouring into people. Getting them to play a guitar, which some never think they can until they start lessons with me. The interesting thing is, a lot of my students often times pour out other things they are going through. My lessons often times turn into therapy sessions. The mental is so important, so I know I’m different in that regard. I care about people as a whole. Not just their gift.
Nothing rewarding comes easy. I’ve had a very hard path, but I was determined to reach my goal and goals. I’m a artist as well, Being a musician in general is challenging work at times. I just know with God on my side I was able to make it this far.
I just want people to know, I’m absolutely passionate about helping others and pouring into them. I adore music!! It’s everything to me, not sure where I would be without it.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
So actually I’m still kinda new to Atlanta. So I am that person that needs to be shown around lol.
Even with that said, I do love going to Ponce City Market. Bar Vegan is all Love to me lol. I’m still figuring it out here, so on the next interview I’ll have a better idea lol. Someone come show me around! Lol
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I absolutely want to shout out my wonderful parents. I gave them absolute grief growing up lol. They stayed by me and never gave up. That I thank them for.
My sister Doniece Talley. She’s been the biggest supporter of everything I do, without her I wouldn’t have pushed this far.
Also Tim Deal, My big brother, Mentor and family. He took me in and absolutely poured all his knowledge and music knowledge on me. He completely helped me grow up!!
