We had the good fortune of connecting with David Melman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi David, how do you think about risk?
I think there is an inherent risk in everything we do. The real question is “how do people calculate risk” to then decide what the appropriate action needs to be taken. Risk has been a huge part in my life and in growing Melman Law Group. My wife Marina Melman started Melman Law Group – Personal Injury Attorneys after a few years practicing family law. Her decision to switch the type of law she wanted to practice was really the first risk we took. From there, I then took a risk and joined her full time as Director of Operations. These two decisions for the both of us came with a lot of thought and calculation. What do we have to lose? What do we have to gain? After dissecting each risk we realized we were young enough to take a chance and come together to become the best client service based law firm in Georgia. My two cents would be to breakdown the risk at hand and then trust your gut. You only live once and most people have enough time to rebound if things do not work out as planned.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I want people to remember Melman Law Group as the best client service firm in Georgia. The client is the most important in everything we do. Making sure they leave our office as a raving fan and walking billboard is 100% our mission. I believe we started seeing success when we truly put our clients first and were not greedy. We are always willing to take money out of our own pockets, to provide for our clients. At the end of the day, if your clients and customers are not happy, your business is going no where.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Since our office is in Roswell, GA we spend a lot of time in downtown Roswell. A Friday night would start at Little Alley Steak for the best meal of your life! Lobster Mac n Cheese and an aged Filet Mignon are to die for. After dinner we would head to the Avalon in Alpharetta for a drink at a wine bar or a tasty treat at Cafe Intermezzo.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to thank my wife’s first mentor Saeed. He was practicing personal injury law when she first started and he taught her a lot about the in’s and out’s of this industry. It’s always nice when someone who has been there already is willing to show you the ropes. Second to him would be Gary Vaynerchuk, CEO of VaynerMedia. I follow his success and realize the best think my wife and I did was triple down on our strengths and hire people to handle our weaknesses. Don’t try to do it all, just focus on what you do well and enjoy! Gary is a great source of motivation and inspiration.
