We had the good fortune of connecting with Terquita Chantee’ and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Terquita, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Hmmm risk… what one may call a risk I would call taking a leap of faith. There is always something that could  potentially “go wrong” or that may not yield the results one may be seeking. However, if you are not willing to take the “risk” or step out on faith what’s the point? Life has lead me to step out on faith more and more. Even when I don’t get the results I was originally seeking, I learned something to continue my journey. I believe the things you need for your vision and purpose are added as you continue your “risk” journey. One can be timid but bold enough to at least start and continue on. Risks teach us that it may not be as hard as you may have originally thought. “Risks” or faith teach us that it is ok to fail. Your faith can place you in rooms and networks you never imagined you could be a part of or experience. Take the risk! Step out on faith! Jump! Timid, scared or with boldness. That one choice could change your life forever. It could be the best decision you ever make. It is not a coincidence. Taking risks have landed me in rooms, networks and shaking hands with people I never thought I would meet. I am a true creative at heart. I took a leap and I am now a business owner, digital marketer and photographer. Taking risks does not mean you know everything, it simply means you have the faith and willingness to learn. It is better to fail and have tried then to not risk anything and not try at all. Is it easy? Tuh ! Not at all but I have enough drive and persistence to continue. I still have so much to learn. I have experienced personal challenges and feeling overwhelmed. With all the services I currently offer and the additional services I will soon offer I wonder how in the world will it all get done? Lol I am only one person, but I believe provision is in place. I didn’t get this far to fail. My why keeps me going in addition to a future of doing whatever, whenever and however I would like. I aim to give back and care for those who cared for me. I owe it to them to succeed and show none of their sacrifices were in vain. I aim to help those who seek my services with their business, vision or purpose.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
This has been a business in the making and I didn’t even realize it LOL. I offer digital marketing services with a current focus on social media. I also provide limited website services, templates, flyers, social media revamps, custom graphics and management and more. I also have a blog that features creatives, business owners, daily inspiration, Kissxd Eats and some of my favorite topics. Blogging is where I originally started. After people begin to ask me questions about their business I begin to share ideas and best practices based on my own experience, books I read, classes I have taken and conversations held through networking. Although I am not always talkative, I am observant and rarely miss the opportunity to learn a new skill or enhance skills already retained. As my business continues to grow I will add additional services. Merchandise and photography will be availible very soon.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
In a perfect scenario there would be at least 3 people. We are most definitley foodies and must stop by quite at a few places. Coplands, Pappadeaux, Atlanta Breakfast Club and 5 Church are  some places on the list. One of the days we would definitely head over to Garden Parc to enjoy the bottomless brunch experince. Of courase we would go to a few tourist spots such as, the  Atlanta Aquarium and the Coca-Cola Factory. Assuming in this senario there is no pandemic, we would definitely head out for the nightlife experince in Atlanta, after shopping of course. The itinerary would not be set in stone these are certainly just some ideas as there is so much to do and so many places to eat!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I receive so much support from my parents, my family, close friends, church family and people who had no idea they were planting seeds. I have tremendous love for my loving parents, family and friends that are my family who have sponsored my business, promoted my business and allow me to “experiment” with new services. The support and belief and beyond what I can imagine and I could never forget my God. He has taken me places I would have never imagined and planted ideas I know I didn’t think of myself lol.
