We had the good fortune of connecting with Sade Ariel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sade, how do you think about risk?
Taking a risk is learning that failing is not always a bad thing. It’s all in how you look at it. I look at failing as a learning lesson so in theory I never fail, I only learn. When taking risks you don’t have any type of certainty that you will have a positive outcome. Once you learn how to fail gracefully you can succeed with poise. The more risks you take, the more you learn how to comeback quicker when it doesn’t go how you planned it. For me I’m taking a risk by going after my dream to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. I think in order to take risks you have to have a good amount of confidence and faith. You just have to trust yourself and your higher power that everything will work out for you. Just because you received a “no” in that moment doesn’t mean it isn’t for you, it really just means not right now. So plant some more seeds and watch them grow in their season.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work. What sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way.
I’ve been interested in the arts and entertainment industry since I was a kid. It started with a nativity play and the love just grew from there. In this journey, I’ve done everything from background work to runway modeling in New York for Fashion Week. I think what sets me apart from others is my drive and my selflessness. My goal is to be that person/ mentor that I needed as a kid. I am very headstrong and since I’ve always known what I wanted to do; I won’t let anything get in the way of that. This journey has not been an easy one, I’ve definitely experienced my fair share of hurdles. The biggest lesson I learned is how to accept rejection and not taking everything personal. I’m most excited about how the new things I have lined up will come to fruition. In addition to that I’m excited for the revamp of my runway modeling coaching business (The Protégé Experience). I teach young girls and women ages 3 and up how to walk the runway with confidence, technique, and poise. I enjoy seeing my girls grow in their craft and excel in the industry.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Pre COVID we would most likely spend the first day at home relaxing and binge watching our favorite shows and movies on Netflix and DisneyPlus. The next day we would go to brunch at Eclipse De Luna in Buckhead, they have the best vegetarian paella. Followed by our own mini photoshoot along the belt line, or at the Botanical Gardens since we love to take pictures. The rest of the week would be spent going to Six Flags (for Fright Fest of course), axe throwing over at Bad Axe Throwing, shopping, and bowling.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give credit to my vocal coach Dana Rice for always being there for me whether it is training related or helping figure out this thing called life. She is always there to lend an ear when I need to talk and she pushes me to be the best that I can be and then some. She’s has taught me how to embrace what’s unique about me. I would also like to give credit to my sisters for being my biggest supporters and hype men. They are always there to give me that boss up conversation when I’m not feeling my best.
