We had the good fortune of connecting with Kyiamoni Legacy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kyiamoni, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
The most important lesson my business has taught me is patience. I believe most business owners give up too early because they tend to feel like the business is not growing as fast as they would like. Or opportunities are just not showing up for them. Everybody has a time. Your time may be 6 years in but you’ve given up at only 2 years in.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started baking at the age of 14. It started as only creating pound cakes when I found interest in decorating bigger cakes. I have no culinary experience once so ever so I came into the game completely clueless.

The hardest challenge of it all was learning how to do every tiny thing on my own. With a lot of practice trial and error I am finally in a place where I can comfortably create some of the best work ever seen. The learning process has taught me how to have patience and understand evolving in anything in life will never come overnight.

I love to go for a marble museum look as my own signature style. I love to take risks and create something that is completely out of the ordinary.

I have been an pastry artist for 6 years now. I am currently 20 years old and extremely proud of my growth and all of my art.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I really love food so I would most likely visit every restaurant I pass by lol. Walks by the lake are also another one of my favorites.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to give a shout out to my mom and also supporters from all around the world. The private messages, love and inspiration goes a long way. I would not be here today without neither.
