We had the good fortune of connecting with Crystell Harris and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Crystell, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
People see all of the results of the real estate industry and believe that it is easy, but it is hard work especially in today’s very competitive real estate markets. I’ve been in this industry for years, and have expanded from being an associate broker to a Broker, as well as a true real estate investor in both the commercial and residential industry. I have invested in the brand that I have built which has paid off for not only myself, but those that I serve.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am most proud of the lives I impact as a real estate professional. I feel that I was led into real estate because I truly have a passion for it and always have. I have always enjoyed buying properties and seeing the potential in what the property can be. As a real estate professional, I help people obtain homeownership that never have thought about it before. I not only help people buy and sell homes, but I also have expanded the services and trainings that I offer. With owning commercial real estate, I offer spaces to help beauty entrepreneurs expand their businesses. In addition, as an Air BNB owner with multiple properties that I own (not rent or lease) I am now offering Air BNB classes to individuals who are interested in becoming a real AIR BNB host the legitimate way to create an additional stream of income. In my Air BNB classes, I have had not only entrepreneurs attend, but people from various professions and industries including real estate agents, construction contractors, and more. My next steps are to take my classes virtually to expand to more people across the U.S., as well as new classes for entrepreneurs.

My journey has not been easy, but my children have continually been the motivation for me to keep going. Each day, I thank God for the opportunities that I am provided. In a very competitive industry such as real estate, people have many choices to choose from with a realtor; however, I am forever grateful for the referrals and people that trust me with their real estate needs. I never thought that I would be one of the top performing real estate agents in my area, yet I have done so continuously year after year. There are also a lot of people in industries that are not legit, and I always work to be honest and perform each transaction and dealing with integrity.

The lessons that I have learned along the way, I am now ensuring that others don’t make the same mistakes. I want to see all entrepreneurs be as successful as they can be, so I will also be adding classes for entrepreneurs this summer as well.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There is so much to do in Atlanta depending on what a person takes interest in. I always enjoy taking my children to new experiences so places like the Georgia Aquarium and Zoo Atlanta are two of the placed they enjoy. For myself and my friends, I enjoy a good glass of wine so I enjoy places such as Barcelona Wine Bar. I also enjoy cooking, even when I travel, and sitting outside to enjoy nice weather.
