We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr, Trina Wilson Owner & CEO and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr, Trina Wilson, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Well, my thought behind starting my own business came from a long line of entrepreneurs from my family, but mainly from my dad and maternal
grandfather. I wanted to do something where I could help people and give back. I wanted to do something that would fit around my children’s various schedules where I could still be involved in their lives while working. I wanted to do something that I would do even if I never received a dime for it. To sum it up, I wanted to something that would fulfill my purpose while providing to the community which I live.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets LIFE Counseling & Assessment Center apart from everyone else is we provide sessions that everyone can afford. We have a staff of 4 other professionals who start at $25 per session and they have even seen people for FREE. We believe in the LIFE 4 A LIFE concept. If you trust us with your life, we will give you our life to assist you in seeing a better way. We see people from all walks of life on all ends of the spectrum. We provide individual, group and family counseling. We offer pre-martial and couples counseling along with event planning for your special day. We also complete anger management, and alcohol and drug evaluations. We also complete FAA/DOT/SAP evaluations as well.
In addition, I was appointed in May of 2021 to sit on a board for Brian Kemp, Governor of GA

Alpha & Omega is set apart because this is legacy for me. My maternal grandfather was a trucker and owned his own company. So, while praying, I felt like the Lord told me to continue this legacy in our family, so I did. Not only am I an African American Black female who owns a trucking company, but I am the only one who is also an SAP professional, who is licensed to work with the FAA/DOT.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Bestie in the city we would surely head on over to Capers for dinner. For breakfast we would probably eat at Broken Egg or Thumbs Up Diner. For lunch probably somewhere in Buckhead like the Fish Market. Saturday activities would probably include some type of cheerleading event with the Stingray’s Allstar team “SUGAR”. Then I would probably sum it up with them doing Saturday church service at Liberty Church and then on Sunday at Cultivation Church in Conyers.
If we want to do other stuff, we will probably go to Top Golf or just stay home swim, grill out and play games.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Nothing could be possible without my solid foundation of faith. However, I would like to shout out my children who have supported me every step of the way. In addition, I would also like to shout out Hope Dixon and Victoria Robinson for standing beside me and for cheering me on when doubt tried to enter in to discourage me. Lastly, the MAIN SHOUT OUT goes to my life partner, Eugene Taylor who is the main reason that Alpha & Omega has continue to blow my mind as well as others for the steady growth. We continue to shatter records because of his unwavering and intentional dedication to me and to the company.
