We had the good fortune of connecting with Monique Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Monique, what makes you happy? Why?
There are several moments in this line of work where I am excited! I am extremely happy when my scholars come to me as students not understanding their goals, life decisions and even where they will be in the future. Then their senior year arrives and they have all the resources needed to make smooth transition to college. This excites me because this is our goal and mission to provide opportunities for our scholars to attend our nations Historically Black Colleges and Universities debt – free.
What should our readers know about your business?
We are a nonprofit organization that specializes in exposing, advocating, and providing scholars with a college education debt – free. We have learned in order to be successful we must keep God present in all decisions, We are very transparent with sharing our experiences and intentional with where our scholars measure success.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a group friends coming to visit I would highly recommend them to grad a bite to eat at A Chicago Bite! Then I would have them be entertained at Top Golf then end the evening downtown at the Riverwalk nightlife spots.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First, I would like to express gratitude to my mentor Mr. Anthony Brown who has guided me and pushed me to be the successful HBCU advocate I am today! Next, I would like thank my team they work extremely hard to get the job done! Dr. Krystal Cross my fundraising coordinator and she owns a restaurant A Chicago Bite located in here San Antonio! Ruthie Bright a beautiful woman of God that is the head of our Motivational Mailing program that sends college scholars care packages and resources monthly for encouragement and motivational purposes. I also would like to send a shout out to Celiniese Woods my community Outreach coordinator who makes sure our community presence is relevant and intentional
