We had the good fortune of connecting with Stoner JAYs and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stoner, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to position myself to be my own boss & work on my own terms. Start generation wealth for my family and share my blessings with others. Being able to service people of need and helping out is a blessing itself.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a rap artist that’s branded around my two favorite things… women and marijuana. From my name to the logo to the music I make. It all revolves around my life experiences dealing with ladies, the law, mental health and chasing financial freedom. I’m happy that I’m able to express myself in the music with my sound I’ve crafted over the years. Me understanding how to brand it with stripper poles is what separates me from the rest. It definitely wasn’t easy dealing with growing pains but one lesson I learned was to have patience because a Bently isn’t made overnight but also to understand sometimes you have to go through the rain to get to the sunny days. So hopefully my days with the sun consist of the world knowing how musically gifted I am as a musician.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well I def would take them downtown Detroit. It’s so many new lit restaurants and amusements outside of the club/bars down there. There’s a lot of beautiful scenery off the water to enjoy. I Prob would ride the whole 7mile from west to east just to get a wide view of the city. A few strip clubs would come to mind if they’re into the nightlife lol.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
@polestarzdet Is the business that sponsors me. I would like to thank them for opening doors I couldn’t have opened myself
