We had the good fortune of connecting with Carlton & Nicole Ross and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Carlton & Nicole, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Fearless Athletics kind of fell into our lap. We were presented with the opportunity to buy a CrossFit gym and we jumped at the opportunity. We were afraid. Besides coaching football leagues we had little to no knowledge of the fitness industry. The first thing we did was study the industry, read many books about fitness and got certified in our industry. We found a way to make our gym appealing to the masses by offering more than CrossFit and that was the best decision ever. Our goal is get our community healthier and fit by offering fun & intense workouts.

What should our readers know about your business?
We talked daily about how the 9-5 was just not our vibe. We got a taste of entrepreneurship when we were co-managing an event planning venue while working a 9-5. Nicole ran the front of the house (hostess and clients) and Ross ran the back (bartenders & servers) We knew then this is what we wanted. So we left our 9-5, packed our bags all while I was 8 months pregnant and moved to ATL. We currently manage a software company, an herbal supplements company called FitLyfe Supplements and Fearless Athletics. Everyday we get up and hustle for each of our business because that is the only way to survive. We stand by each and every one of our businesses and our goal is to always provide an amazing customer experience with any of products.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We love the lounge, food and brunch scene in Atlanta. Of coarse we will start each day with a great workout at Fearless Athletics. Some of our favorite hot spots are The James Room, Sea Salt, Tribeca, Spice House and Negril. There is so much to do and so many things to see. Dave & Busters is always very fun & exciting and their salmon meal is one for the books!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We want to give all grace and glory to God. He has guided our steps thus far and we feel that every thought, promo and each and every person that has supported Fearless Athletics is God’s doing. We have established some amazing friendship with Team Fearless. They are family and the real GOATS at Fearless. Their hard work and dedication to Fearless is truly inspiring the world! So, huge shoutout to GOD for the visions to make Fearless successful and a major shoutout to each and every member (past & present) of Fearless Athletics.
