We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicole Manuel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nicole, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
In simple form, I got tired of struggling and giving my all to other peoples companies. At what could’ve been the worst time of my life I decided to invest in myself and it was the best decision ever.

Ive always had a love for fashion driven interiors, and styling homes. In 2016, I did my first project but I hit a major delay when I was having trouble finding quality affordable furniture pieces. In 2017 I launched Babe & Company Designs, LLC, an interior and furnishing studio. Since then we have helped thousands of people get what they need all at affordable pricing.

What should our readers know about your business?
Babe & Company Designs, a luxury interior design studio and furniture company. We specialize in creating chic spaces for millennials. We specialize in 2D & 3D renderings, luxury furniture pieces, and home decor. Plus we have a new storefront, Airbnb, & content studio coming soon to Houston, Texas.

We are known for our woman driven aesthetic, mixed with neutral shades, fresh greenery, lush floral arrangements, and brightly colored furnishings.

What sets us apart from others are, we aren’t your normal furniture company. And we don’t strive to be. Boring we could never be, you walk into our store and it feels like you stepped off the plane into an exotic island. Our pieces scream luxe and chic. Everyone knows if you’re looking for the hottest furniture you shop “THE BABE WAY”!

Nothing comes perfect and for that, I’m grateful for my lessons. The last five years of my life have been filled with trial and error and that’s okay. God has given me the ability and strength to adapt to whatever is thrown my way, so that’s what I do.

From evictions, repossessions, losing our home-store in a hurricane, then losing everything in a flood months later, trust me my new saying is I’m built Babe Tough! But if I can do it you can do it too !

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love the outdoors and having fun, atv park me please ! My favorite spot for drinks would have to be Prospect Park and those wings omg ! If I want to get dressed up and get fancy I’ll head to the Moxies for dinner. Other then that I’m a introvert lol

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family, my children, & my boyfriend/camera man Kevonne . They all have played a major role in supporting me and seeing me and this business through. From operations to logistics and even investing! They have been there for me and I’m so grateful and thankful. Of course our supporters, this business can’t run without our customers and I’m grateful for them.

My biggest of them all is God, he has been a healer, a provider, and my saving Grace.
