We had the good fortune of connecting with Sheyla M. Perez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sheyla M., can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a permanent makeup artist since 2016, I have been specializing in different types and brands of pigments and inks. I use different types tool and/or machines to create a long-lasting change to the appearance, complexion, and color of your clients’ skin.
The most popular treatments I’m currently doing are Microshading Eyebrows and Lip blushing/ or neutralizing lips. I recently became a Certified Oreola Tattoo Artist and hoping to get connected with surgeons all over the world to focus mostly with breast cancer survivors.
What definitely sets me apart from others is that I am extremely passionate about what I do. I am a perfectionist and will always make sure I always go above and beyond with my clients. I am very humble and caring person that will continue working hard and will always offer the best.
I can say that I am very proud of myself and how far God has brought me. Each day I wake up with a grateful heart and continue trusting God during this process.
I have been able to get to where I’m at today professionally, first with God by my side and being able to believe in myself and not give up. I always strive to become better in what I do, so I will continue learning and growing.
I knew it was gonna be hard but i I’m very passionate in what I do so i will continue working harder each day to completely fulfill my dreams .
Have I overcome all the challenges in this industry?
I want people to know that no matter what they have been through, there’s almost a shining light at the end of the tunnel. God has been faithful and mostly because I have trusted and continue to trust him each day. No matter what you have been through, don’t give up on yourself, go out and get it. Work hard and trust the process.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Lunch – Johnny’s rocket
Coca Cola museum and the Zoo
Some shopping at some nearby boutiques and of course outlets
Dinner – 9 mile station restaurant
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
